Romney is losing it. His coordinated assault on Newt does not make the case for Romney.
And it’s embarrassing. Romney brought out former Congressman and former Senator Jim Talent to bash Newt’s leadership as Speaker. Talent forgets that the internet has a long memory, and that Talent supported Newt for Speaker of the House even after the issues Talent now complains about were raised:

The GOP is hopeless...They got lucky with Reagan and then George Bush washed Reagan down the drain...hell the GOP did not back Reagan ..it was the Southern Conservative Democrats that got the tax cut passed...
I think Newt is worse. Just something about him I dont trust. Maybe its the image of him giggling with Botox Pelosi on that couch...
I think we will be sorry of Newt is our nominee.
Anyone get the feeling that this is all kabuki theater and that the fix is already in and the nominee all all but chosen? The process is just an illusion for the sheep.

I’m leaning towards Perry. He’s a former USAF pilot,(other than RP, the only military vet running),a clean personal background (as far as I know) he’s a real conservative and has a fine record as Governor. What more could you want?
