Workers outraged at Caribbean junket
As union bosses continued livin’ it up in the Puerto Rican sun yesterday, municipal workers getting soaked by New York’s cold rain were livid that their hard-earned money was funding the leaders’ Caribbean “convention.”
“There goes our union dues!” fumed a furious Local 3 electrician. “They paid for that junket with union dues.”
“I’ve worked for 10 months in the last two years. I’m getting laid off at the end of the year,” the electrician railed. “I have no use for the union. All I see is waste, corruption and hypocrisy.”
At an Upper West Side firehouse, a member of New York’s Bravest, who was working in the rain, said in amazement, “We’re all based here in New York anyway, so why would they spend all that money on going someplace else? They could have just had it here.”
The New York State Public Employees Conference was wrapping up its annual six-day fiesta at the Caribe Hotel in San Juan — where union bosses were poolside sucking down one last $9 beer and soaking up a few more rays.

Where they should really be directing their anger is that their union dues were used to campaign for Obama and the Democratic slime that only care about themselves. Wake up, you're being taken for a big ride union pawns.

He helped to create the situation, electing allll those Rats that unions are married to, the Rats trashing the economy, the unions bleeding the industrious and finally, the union bosses even taking the small amount of work that would be generated in setting up a meeting at a convention center to somewhere else.

They suck $50 a pay or more in dues from grocery store clerks who are typically making a couple of dimes above minimum wage. They work 35 hours a week or more but due to slick wording in the contract are considered “part time” and get no benefits.
Meanwhile the union moved its headquarters out of the old Strip District produce market section of Pittsburgh, and next to a golf course in an upscale development in the distant suburbs.

If “here” means the Javits Convention Center, it’s cheaper to fly everyone down to a Carribean Resort, hold the convention, and fly them back. Cause of the Javits Center labor costs. They’re all union, you know.

Not exactly true many of us live in closed states where the only jobs that pay well without a degree are in union factories.WE have no choice it is either pay or don’t work.This is home for us we don’t want to leave and with unemployed here high there is no other choice.
