- "First, I believe in the environment in general," Gingrich said. "Second, I think there is evidence on both sides of the climate change argument."

Glenn Beck characterized Newt Gingrich as a big government "progressive" in the Teddy Roosevelt mold during a radio interview. Beck criticized Gingrich for his support for government initiatives to expand healthcare and curb global warming.
It was a label that Gingrich embraced, saying that in the area of healthcare, "I'm a Theodore Roosevelt Republican and I believe government can lean in the regulatory leaning is okay," according to the transcript of the Glenn Beck radio show.

Beck is not a conservative is he, maybe he needs to look at his own side not our republican field .those who are libertarian and who is running on that ticket anyway?
Any reason why Ron Paul is running on our ticket when he is not a conservative, why not run on his libertarian ticket, why try and hijack our ticket?
Looks to me like we had better prepare for 4 more years of Obama.
Newt - baggage, and 1/2 of the Republicans want to trash him.
Mitt - baggage, and 3/4 of the Republicans want to trash him.
Bachman - Does “not a chance.” mean anything to you?
Welcome back comrade Obama.
every time we have our guy go top we have not only those who are on the left but our own side attack.
I’m frigging sick and tired of it.
This economy and country is in shambles, our tax money is being used to help the homosexual agenda , states getting sued which enforce the law , gun running, green energy scam pay offs with our money etc, etc etc etc etc etc etc .
We have a good many points to raise and use to oust zero but no we would rather either shut up, not attack but we can certainly attack our own and give ammo to the left
Good point.
Also one thing people have to understand. Social Security really isn’t going bankrupt. What is...is that politicians have spent that money already on consummables to buy votes.
Had they never went to the IOU SS would be solvent for generations; however, they are spending the money as fast as it comes in and passing the burden to our grand kids.
I’m not a fan of SS; however, let’s put blame where it deserves to be put—politicians buying votes and voters screwing their grandkids over for freebies.
Also if we don’t have SS, you know the liberals would not let grandma starve and freeze to death...so they’d just raise our taxes to pay for her via welfare. As much as I don’t like it, SS is kind of a lessor of two evils. Until we as a population are willing to let grandma freeze to death it’s either we all pay for grandma or we make grandma save some of her money via SS (or some other mandated program).
Once again the BIGGEST problem with SS is the federal government can spend the money on non-SS items.
WHATEVER! If Glen Beck can BEAT OBAMA, let HIM run. Newt, or who-the-hell-ever; somebody beat this SOB and get him the hell out of our hair. Enough with Obama.
“Im frigging sick and tired of it.”
It’s insane. The leaders on the left knew of Obama’s shortcomings and liabilities. The left with the help of the media ignored all of it, all in an effort to get their man in office. It worked.
The right works differently. We don’t have a perfect candidate, so we make sure that whoever survives is sufficiently damaged as to be unelectable. And to ensure that unelectability, a good number of conservatives will stay home and not vote at all.
I want those that stay home to come out and post in 4 years and tell me how well that’s worked out, (we’ll be nearing the end of Obama’s second term by then). That is assuming FR is allowed to continue under the second Obama administration’s revived fairness doctrine, or some other such bs.
There are no programs, no ‘trust funds’, no ‘lock boxes’. These and Obamacare are all tax schemes in which productive people are taxed today, to buy elderly and poverty votes today, and all done by force, theft, subterfuge. Newt, Mitt, GOP hacks will say and do anything. Sadly, vis a vis the GOP, Newt was with many, able a bit, a tiny bit, to retard government growth, with a popular Democrat President, and a Democrat Senate. As compared to the Dennis “Fatso” Hastert House, Trent “Hairpiece” Lott in the Senate, and George “I’m reading a high school quality history book” Bush, all Republican( snort ) era that gave us spending and debt worse than LBJ. ( Now surpassed by Obama )
No more “I can reform/manage/plan/technocrat” GOPers for me.
All of that stuff is just pre election bluster.
The dems did the same in 08.
Both sides have emotional priss posters that will get over it by April.
Beck needs to concentrate on his food insurance.
Totally understand and share your frustration. I do believe, however, that some of the problem is that we Conservatives, as is our character, seek the truth ... and during this process we do a lot of soul searching, evaluate then re-evaluate our goals, and struggle with our desire to lift the lid and see what's inside.
Unfortunately, there's a down side ... the media and the liberals stand back and watch us vet our candidates like dogs waiting for table scraps.
nail on the head.
I was just reading another thread, of course attacking our side and probably posted by a paid staffer or troll and someone else just said the same as us.
More and more of us are getting pissed off with how we attack our own.
When the left has someone who has done something wrong, they circle the wagons and defend, Hell we can’t get holder out or any in the DOJ for lying, gun running etc.
When we have a candidate we get [aid staffers for other guys to come on sites like this and attack, rip the candidate apart and the left just sit there laughing at our side.
No balls on our side unless we attack our own side.
Could you imagine if could attack the left like we do our own.
We would win so much more seats.
You make it sound almost like a sober, contemplative process. Sigh, if only.
Uh, that's what we're supposed to be doing, it's a primary and not one single primary vote has been cast yet. The thought that if you don't get behind Newt you will get Obama elected shows just how horribly uninformed on the process you are.
I agree and I sense you can read my frustration right now.
I want that man out of the white house and his admin, DOJ to be took out in handcuffs in some cases for what they have done.
I just get pissed off when I come on here and we get paid staffers or a groupie of their guy posting anti who ever articles to have their man get more votes,.
Yesterday a bunch of Ron Paul supporters got banned because they were told this is a conservative websites.
Low and behold JR looked at their IP address and found they have been banned a bunch of times but keep coming on here and some of them have a few usernames thus making it look like there is more of them.
Sorry if I come across as too sharp but I ma so frustrated at how side attacks our own and we have this thick dumb socialist sitting in our house on our dime spewing his socialist crap.
Of course Beck will endorse Mitt - Mormans stick together....2x2’s! They’ll be banging on your door tomorrow in their white shirts and tie.
This site is fast becoming a mirror image of DU...knne jerk reactionaries who reject anyone...any idea..that doesn’t fall in line with their definition of conservatism are becoming the rule rather than the exception.
I joined this site in 1998 after CNN booted us regulars from the CLinton impeachment forums. This used to be a place where thoughtful discussion was the rule rather than the exception. Now it’s just a bunch of cranks calling each other “RINO’s”.
Screw it....
