My guess is that Baldwin played the "don't you know who I am, you #@&%$# pile of commoners?" card a little too loudly and to long and was kicked off for causing a disturbance and being disruptive. AND maybe refusing to power off his iPad. Forgetting to power it off was a long-forgotten faux pas by the time the Air Marshals arrived.
The odd thing is that there is no scientific reason why such devices need to be turned off. Airlines have this irrational policy, and it’s their fault.
