Glenn welcomed the current front-runner for the GOP nomination to the program this morning on radio, and the usually unflappable Newt Gingrich was met with some serious questions about his record on healthcare, global warming, and more.
Glenn started the interview by making it clear that this was not a "gotcha" interview, but that Glenn had "serious concerns" about Newt Gingrich as President. Glenn's producers had made it clear to Newt that tough questions were going to be asked, but he did think that Gingrich is a decent guy.
"I'm asking questions because I truly, deeply care about the country just as much as Newt Gingrich does but we differ on the answers, I believe. Id like to have him convince me that I'm wrong. I would love to have him convince me that I'm wrong," Glenn said.
On Regulation
Glenn started by playing a piece of audio where Gingrich claimed to be a "Theodore Roosevelt Republican", a political figure in history that Glenn believes is strongly tied to the Progressive movement in history on both sides of the aisle.

Yours is the typical knee jerk mocking come back that, while terribly cute, begs the question, avoids the issue, as always, and leaves the problem in tact, with no resolution to the problem anywhere in sight. No one will ever accuse you of being a problem solver, but for certain you will be counted among the uselessly smart mouthed. What a nice, but small little legacy.
I think Perry still has a chance, yes he fumbles but he is a true 10th
Amendment guy!!!! Newt does have cajones, however he is also a very
smart lying, slime ball. I am certainly not saying that Perry is an outsider
but I do not think Bauchman or Santorum can win I wish they could, but
we all have to keep remembering WE are dealing with the more than
ignorant voting public. Perry does have a JOBS record, he can’t debate
but he is great in rallies, his ads are great, and 1 on 1 with sheeple he
does fine. WE NEED TO COME TOGETHER WITH A CANDIDATE!!!!!
ABSOLUTELY! And, that’s the most pitiful thing. America is so hungry for relief from these creeps - some of us don’t even know how hungry we are - a ham sammich would shine like the sun, for a while. We need a 180-degree turnaround,-followed by pedal-to-the-medal leadership without ANY pandering to those hungry for PC, progressivism, or promotion of big government.
Does Beck approve of anybody besides RuPaul? Just curious.
I’m not voting for that ham sandwich if it has pickles!
No Compromise!!!
Then vote for Obama.
I’ll continue to support the guy I believe can beat Romney and go on to stop Obama’s War on America...... I’ll vote for Newt Gingrich.
Go Newt Go.....
Swiss cheese,
The smallbots have nothing. Thinking is scary for them and name calling comes so much easier. The plaque brained are
in a panic.
“Newt”made a good point.” WHICH TR? The man as president was quite different from the progressive candidate of 1912. Taft was not much different from Roosevelt as President. For that matter, our economy has changed radically. Workers in the US in 1912 was in much the same situation as Chinese workers are today. The problem with the Roosevelt of 1912, was the solutions he proposed. He pretty much overlooked the improvements in the living conditions of people since the Depression of 1893-1897. He wanted more power in HIS hands to try this or that solution. It was the same sort of impatience that impelled him to want to plunge the country into war in 1915. We forget that TAFT was a kind of progressive, as was Mark Hanna, for that matter. TR’s gift at self-advertisement has made us forget that if McKinley had lived his second term, he would have instituted some moderate reforms, such as Mark Hanna—a businessman with great empathy for his own workers—would have approved of. If TR had lived, he would have been re-elected in 1920, but one can surmise that the death of Quentin had sobered him. He might have done pretty much what Hughes did, except that he would have resisted the “sinking”of the Navy that occurred in the Washington Conference. But people do change, we do react to changed conditions, even politicians. I do admit that there are always ideologues like Obama who never do.
NANCY PELOSI: Hi. Im Nancy Pelosi, lifelong Democrat and Speaker of the House.
NEWT GINGRICH: And Im Newt Gingrich, lifelong Republican, and I used to be Speaker.
PELOSI: We dont always see eye-to-eye, do we Newt?
GINGRICH: No. But we do agree our country must take action to address climate change.
PELOSI: We need cleaner forms of energy and we need them fast.
GINGRICH: If enough of us demand action from our leaders, we can spark the innovation we need.

Kerry-Gingrich debate on Global Warming
At one point, Gingrich said, “We’re not arguing over whether it [a plan to fight global warming] should be urgent. We’re arguing over whether bureaucracy and litigation is a better way to be urgent or whether science and technology translated by entrepreneurs into products is a better way to be urgent.”
Finally, Kerry relented. “I’m excited to hear you talk about the urgency,” he said. But “what would you say to Senator [Jim] Inhofe [R-Okla.] and to others in the Senate who are resisting even the science?”
Gingrich didn’t hesitate. “My message,” he said, “is that the evidence is sufficient that we should move towards the most effective possible steps to reduce carbon loading of the atmosphere.” The pro-Kerry crowd applauded.
“And do it urgently?” the senator pressed.
“And do it urgently, yeah,” the former speaker replied. “I think there has to be, if you will, a green conservatism,” he added.

” With a progressive republican as president the collapse will still happen. “ ...... “We are on the edge of the abyss.”
I absolutely agree with you that the test is upon us, and I think that no one can measure up for the presidency in these times. Bachman, I believe, would get rolled. Newt would not get rolled, but can not undo the Obama damage. It seems to me that God has maybe left us to ourselves. Collapse is an unkind teacher, but perhaps it will place us on back on our knees, where this nation began. Just sayin’.
The legislation will dictate what Newt goes with or not. If he doesn’t then there are procedures when dealing with it. If he fails us his history will be written just like bush.
The reality is that we will have 2 choices, go with the republican that gets the nod or Obama for another 4.
you proclaim: “I dont trust anyone that is pimping for Climate Change, a total BS movement.”
Don’t watch this. You might learn something.

“Newt Rips Gore’s ‘Facts’ To Pieces “
“But would running a ham sandwich lose us the Muslim vote?”
Might as well put a couple slices of bacon on it too, most Muzzies will vote for Mullah Obama no matter what.
