Palin chose not to get in. Cain chose to get out.
If you spend the next year trashing Republicans the left will be grateful for you.
So how do we go about choosing a candidate?
We all get behind your guy and STFU?
My guy was Herman Cain until he chose to leave the contest.
But even though he’s no longer in, that doesn’t mean I’m going to start doing the work of the leftists just because I didn’t get my first choice.
Personally, I am convinced that there is something in her background that is not common knowledge, that she does not want to be made common knowledge. "Get out of the race, or else . . . ."

No, Newt Gingrich is shaping up to be the lesser of two evils, and not by much. The man is a flip-flopping RINO and an opportunist who will say and do anything to get elected. He has no morals and no compunction against getting into bed with flaming liberals when it suits him. He can not be trusted, and I think that it is the height of foolishness to sweep his RINO record under the rug and to proclaim him as the savior of both the GOP and the country.
Period.
That is an idea. But I doubt our poor country can survive another four years of nobama even if we control the House and the Senate.
nobamacare is the big stumbling block. No way will it be repealed with nobama in charge.
So the fact that I have had the same negative opinion of Noot for the past fifteen years means I am "doing the work of the leftists?"
Bizarre.
I tend to doubt it. Palin’s life has been investigated probably 50-times more in-depth than any other politician out there. The LA Times and NYTimes sent an army of reporters up to Alaska, and interviewed everybody whose paths crossed Palin’s, however briefly, from grade-school to college to governorship. Hundreds and hundreds of people. They went down to the nitty-gritty, getting comments from schoolmates who shared only a single semester with her, and whose memories added up to little more than a couple of sentences. Trying to find any hint of dirt. They failed.
Ouch!

If Newt were to win a vast majority of the primaries, what would it took like to hand the nomination over to somebody who took it easy, sitting out the race? Especially somebody like Christy or Bush who came out and said they didn’t want to run this year.
It would be the worse move the Republicans could make.

On the contrary, a Republican president can do nothing when the House and Senate are controlled by Democrats, which is the condition I believe we are in now.
The House can refuse to fund Obamacare anytime they want to. Of course, this would only happen if the Republicans got rid of Democrat plant, Crybaby Boehner, and bring in real, conservative leadership, but it can be done even with a Democrat or RINO president.
I believe the 2012 congressional elections are more important than the presidential election.
>>...At the end of the day one has to ask, what happened to the Tea Party revolution?...<<
That’s a good question. Perhaps they’ve dissipated naturally back to their lives?
After all the effort they expended in the last election, what exactly did it gain them that has made any lasting impact? There may be an overwhelming sense of “What’s the use” since the spineless, cry-baby Boehner/McConnell led contingent of the GOP is *STILL* calling the shots.
I don’t see them carrying any momentum into the next election from last time. That doesn’t mean they can’t get fired-up again and execute a repeat performance — just that I think they would have to (nearly) start from scratch again.
Just my observations and opinions. Others may vary.
Nobody is proclaiming any such thing or sweeping anything under the rug. Newt's most ardent supporters realize that he is a mixed bag of positives and negatives.
But here's the thing: absent a highly-unlikely comeback from Perry, Bachmann, or Santorum, the GOP primaries are now a two-man race.
So do you prefer Romney to Newt? What will you do if Newt wins the nomination?
If Newt is the nominee and you spend next year trashing him then your behavior will be indistinguishable from that of the evil, lying leftist scum. You will think that you are acting nobly but you will be wrong.
If you trash the GOP nominee then you are doing the work of the leftists.
That is not bizarre; it is simple, straightforward logic.
New tagline ...
We don't have a nominee yet.
This is the process by which we choose a nominee.
You just want everybody to shut up and support your guy.
You say retarded things.
You do nothing but trash Republicans not because “this is the process by which we choose a nominee” but rather because you are crazy and nasty.
You fail to realize that your ugly, destructive behavior promotes leftism because you are stupid.
And you're so smart.
I will write in Sarah Palin's name and then go home and sleep peacefully that night knowing that I did not hold my nose and vote for a lesser evil.

I don't care. I'm done with the Republican Party. It's no better than the Rat party, and I'm not about to reward it with my vote. Period.
And I'm not the only one who feels this way either.
