As much as I hate to say it unless Palin jumps into the race(and I am sure that there is plenty of arm twisting and pleading going on there)Mitt Romney will be the GOP nominee.
He should challange her RIGHT now to a One on One conversation. Her mouth stumbles as much as Obama’s does, can’t talk without her hands flaying all over the place.
Let us (Republicans/ Conservatives) not be so foolish as to have Newt be our candidate for President, 2012. He is a moderate, progressive, futurist, third wave believer. ... Another old pasty white guy, ... losing candidate. America can not survive another Obama term. MO! WAKE UP!!! Let us come together in unity in the Republican party. That is largely how the Democrats win is they are united NO MATTER WHAT OR WHO their candidate is.
Palin would not last any longer than Cain; no one will but ObamneyCare. How Gingrich is okay and Perry isn’t is bizarre.
Perry>>>Gingrich in conservative values and DC outsider appeal. But Perry was dissed.Obama has Axie and his chief of staff working OT creating downfalls for all contenders.A machine that eats anyone that competes with Obama for brunch.
Accept possibly LTC Allen West but it is too late we are stuck with Romney now because the tea party ate they’re own thinking no one was as good as Palin;dissing Bachmann and Perry and the MSM finished it off.
I am sure Nancy isn’t much worried about Censure. It worked so well in destroying Charlie Rangel.
No: If I were Newt I would be on TV tomorrow morning and screaming at the top of my lungs “Bring it on Nancy”.
Lets hear what you have to say and let the hair go with the hide.
Funny...I never heard any comment like this from Clyburn when the Clintons, Kerry, Jackson-Lee, algore, Biden, Frank, Jackson, Obama, et al....fly off the handle.
These idiots in Washington...are so predictable. They all need a good public dunking.
If Newt takes this bitch down, hell I might even contribute to his campaign.
This sounds awfully close to extortion. She is essentially saying that if Newt doesn’t drop out, she plans to reveal (potentially) damaging info on him. Conversely, if he does drop out she’ll keep her mouth shut.
If she’s got something to say, she should just say it.
Disgusting.
I would imagine. Id imagine Newt is well aware of anything this could be and intelligent enough to get out in front of it. He doesnt strike me as a Herman Cain in this regard.
Surely you jest, the truth of accusations mean nothing to lying dems, it is the seriousness of the accusation lies aired by the LSM that matter.
“...When the time is right. I know a lot about him. I served on the investigative committee that investigated him, four of us locked in a room in an undisclosed location for a year. A thousand pages of his stuff....”
If only the witch was as diligent about pouring over the Obamcare bill. She would have known what was in it BEFORE they voted on it.
No doubt she knows things about Newt. He knows stuff about her. But I think this is a huge bluff. She gets by soley on her name. There are a lot of idiots that’ll listen to her. And that is sad.
Normally I would agree on the censure issue but I think that many House members take the ethics process and their potential exposure to it very seriously and might take a more serious line.
Who cares who likes Sarah she is not running.
How did your political prognostication for Cain work out?
Newt will be fine.

One has to remember that Fort Worthless Jim Wright had signed a book deal while he was speaker, but since he was a Democrat those complaints fell on deaf ears. wright isn't writer or MAN enough to write his name in the snow. Gingrich on the other hand, is a prolific writer with several NYT best sellers for both Fiction and Nonfiction to his credit.
He was abused with over eighty ethics violations complaints while speaker, much the way that Palin was driven from office in Alaska. He was found in v iolation of only one and that was for not giving ‘full and truthful answers’ IE: He misremembered, much like Scooter Libbey. He was bum rushed from leadership by several Moderate Republicans for holding their feet to the fire on spending, among those was John Boehner.
So Boehner, the ‘ultraconservative’ was instrumental in knifing him in the back!
Gingrich will be fine. He may also settle some scores with the RINO and Liberal A-holes that screwed him over, as long as it is for the benefit of the country, I could care less.
This is really dumb. Two things come to mind, however:
1 - Expect this to go Nuclear, very soon. Newt is not the type to sit back and let this go unanswered...
2 - Regarding the above, one of Newts personality problems, IMO, is that he doesn't handle accusations, insults, and similar, very well. He gets visibly irate and loses his cool. At least thats the Newt I remember. Perhaps the Dems are going to try to goad him into breaking down like that?
P.S. I do support Newt, I simply understand that no one is perfect.
Eighty-four ethics charges were filed against Speaker Gingrich during his term, including claiming tax-exempt status for a college course run for political purposes. Following an investigation by the House Ethics Committee Gingrich was sanctioned US$300,000.
Gingrich acknowledged in January 1997 that “In my name and over my signature, inaccurate, incomplete and unreliable statements were given to the committee”. The House Ethics Committee concluded that inaccurate information supplied to investigators represented “intentional or ... reckless” disregard of House rules. Special Counsel James M. Cole concluded that Gingrich violated federal tax law and had lied to the ethics panel in an effort to force the committee to dismiss the complaint against him.
The full committee panel did not agree whether tax law had been violated and left that issue up to the IRS. In 1999, the IRS cleared the organizations connected with the “Renewing American Civilization” courses under investigation for possible tax violations.
... Republicans lost five seats in the House in the 1998 electionsthe worst midterm performance in 64 years for a party that didn’t hold the presidency. Polls showed that Gingrich and the Republican Party’s attempt to remove President Clinton from office was deeply unpopular among voters.
Gingrich suffered much of the blame for the election loss. Facing a rebellion in the Republican caucus, he announced on November 5, 1998 that he would not only stand down as Speaker, but would leave the House as well.
Gingrich made this announcement only a day after being elected to an 11th term from his district. Commenting on his departure, Gingrich said, “I’m willing to lead but I’m not willing to preside over people who are cannibals. My only fear would be that if I tried to stay, it would just overshadow whoever my successor is.

> He’s got back-up. He switched to Catholicism since then.
I thought that divorce-remarried people were excommunicated from the Catholic Church. Is he permitted to partake of communion because he became a Catholic AFTER he was divorce-remarried?
