Yes we must turn this nation around, but I liken it to turning a bus around with the same old bus-drivers.
We get a bone tossed to us once in a while, but if you look at the ideas these louts toss out, they’re the same ones that cost us so many other elections, so many other failed attempts at getting things back on track, so many other bills that failed miserably.
Oh yes we’re compassionate alright. Just ask any middle-class working stiff, who has to pay the tab for all the compassion.
We’re getting ripped off for tens of billions of dollars per years, but you know what, we can’t offend the folks who make this nation purr. No, not the Thomas Jefferson, Madison, Franklin types, it’s Manny Alvarez, Lupe Gatierez, and tens of millions of their children.
I was taping every debate, and it finally dawned on me, who bother? The folks I back will NEVER get the nod. No, we’ll let some floozie with no job, no rep, no brains, and not coherent explanations for what she’s charging, ruin a good man and put his family through hell.

****sigh*** I know, we have what seems to be an insurmountable situation here.
I admit I vacillate between holding out for hope vs wishing it would all just collapse so we can start rebuilding.
With the latter being such an ugly proposition I tend to hold out for the hope part though.
I guess in the end it is up to the Lord so I'll just continue praying for the best.
