I’m conservative and I’m for Newt. Why do some conservatives and Tea Partiers attempt to talk for all??? I’m an active member of several Tea Party groups as well as the Republican party. I would like to blend the Tea Party members into the Republican party. I believe it would make the Republican party more conservative and strengthen the Tea Party. Of course most of the Tea p[arty members I know vote and consider themselves to be Repiblican.

B/S......who else can articulate the wide range of issues this country faces? Forget his past, this about now and our future. I believe Newt understands he is in the last quarter of his life. He loves this country and wants to make ammends to the past and leave this world on the right side. Can anyone say that about Obama?

THIS is one of the best speeches I’ve heard in some time. I LOVE how it illuminates the most BASIC principle of this nation: that our rights come from GOD and that they are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. I particularly liked that he discussed the the authentic meaning of “pursuit of happiness,” which is the pursuit of VIRTUE...because that DOES make us genuinely happy.
This is sooo refreshing....and filled with common sense.

Those people are farmers they enjoy a good BS slinging event. Cute. Of course, Polk Co. is mostly urban.

“2. He wants to be liked by the enemy”
The way he attacks Obama and the msm seems to belie that notion.
To: SumProVita
It would be even better if his political actions actually lined up with those principles.

Everyone in Iowa, unless they crossed the southern border are/were farmers. It is their heritage. And whenever newt speaks it is the same BS slinging event, called more and bigger government.

If you review ALL of his history...many of them have lined up with those principles. I also happen to believe that Speaker Gingrich has learned from his mistakes.

“Im old enough, and my memory is still good enough, to remember how Reagan was called a RINO, a sellout, Regans puppet, yada, yada, yada, by CONSERVATIVES.”
I don’t, but since your memory is so good, perhaps you could name names and give specific quotes, just to set the (now-disputed) record straight.

Have you forgotten Reagan’s Amnesty for illegal aliens?
Or just your ability to remember how to use Google?

The problem you Newt cultists have is you worship at the PR shrine manufactured about Newt. The real Newt falls far far far short of the PR about Newt. There is no way for him to actually live up to the spin.
Find it odd that the same Freepers who recklessly spun all these sort of cult of personality fantasizes about McCain in 2008 are back now doing the same with Newt.
Did you people learn NOTHING from 2008?
