ATLANTA -- Herman Cain on Monday pre-emptively denied a forthcoming accusation by a woman who is expected to say she had a 13-year affair with the Republican presidential candidate.
In an apparent effort to get ahead of the story, Cain appeared in a cable news interview to say the woman is "someone who I know, who is an acquaintance, who I thought was a friend."
MyFoxAtlanta.com released some details of the story, which is scheduled to air Monday night, shortly after Cain appeared on CNN -- identifying the accuser as an Atlanta businesswoman named Ginger White.
"It was pretty simple," White told the station. "It wasn't complicated. I was aware that he was married. And I was also aware I was involved in a very inappropriate situation, relationship."

Of course she is, what other kind of woman sleeps with someone's husband for 13 years? Do you expect her to be Miss Wholesome? Good grief!
well, the fact is that she only mentions a “relationship”. i have a relationship with the parents of the high schoolers i teach. notice all the other ladies have faded into nothingness. the media is just trying to keep the dream ALIVE.
To have a brokered convention, you will need to have your people there as delegates. If you are not in the race, you will have no delegates to back you. You really think the Gingrich, Perry, Cain or Mittens people will decide to scrap their guy to pull a person with terrible unfavorables in as their nominee? That scenario is absolutely impossible.
The last brokered Convention was in 1952 for Adlai Stevenson. This stuff doesn't happen any more because of the way Primaries are constructed today. We will have a clear winner by the time Super Tuesday rolls around.
You all will notice that Cain took several shots at the Democrats and Obama over the weekend - the Democrats are taking shots back. Notice this time, however, the lady in question can not even get a national outlet to cover her story, lol.
For the record, you are the last person on FR whose analysis re: Cain I respect or value. Spare me future pings containing your analysis; it is worse than worthless on this subject. Thank you.
As for info on Cain. Please. I’m not as stupid as you make out. I can follow the news w’out your ‘help’. Find somebody to ‘help’ who actually needs it. (Hint: that person is not me.)
If he treated her as great as she says, and was trying to help her out financially, why would she want to come out now and try to hurt and humiliate him? Were the alleged phone calls from him to her because she was trying to extort him in some way and he was responding to her? Curioser and curiouser.
It makes Cain a liar.
Everyone of them must take a lie detector test.
How about an overly made-up middle aged woman, dressed like a tart, making a phone call to David Axelrod? Of course, with the tape recorder running.
I was hoping to see your username pop up on one of these threads. Your work on discovering the background and connections of that Bialek woman was outstanding.
Can you believe this? The fact that the left can’t find credible women to accuse Cain of anything smacking of a sexual scandal shows you how very upstanding he actually is. I am still very much on the Cain Train.
That sure does fit this lady with a few of those points. I thought her interview was strange considering the gravity of the charges.
I saw it on Special Report with Brett Baird tonight.
LOL!
I just hate to see someone with your ability wasted on a lousy candidate.
No, I can’t. It’s just crazy. This one also has a string of evictions, most recently just two weeks ago. The problem for those who keep trying to smear him is that they can’t find a woman with a remotely “normal” history who will say these things about him.
Sigh. Let me point out for the billionth time that Anita Hill passed a polygraph.
I saw the story this norming asking if Cain could survive the (old) allegations. Well, I thought, if he gets back his momentum, they will just find some new floozy. Sure enough...
You can't possibly believe that in an objective, analytical way, can you?
And if it’s not true a decent man is being taken out, not because people don’t like his policies but by false accusations. That’s immoral. The sad part is, he’ll never get his reputation back and it hurts more than just him. I’m going to wait to have more information. I hope to God if it takes him out it boosts Perry because I have NO desire to see another insider in the White House.
