Sheriff Joe Arpaio, the sheriff of Maricopa County, Ariz., who calls himself “America’s Toughest Sheriff,” will endorse Texas Gov. Rick Perry next week, a source with knowledge of the endorsement told ABC News.
Arpaio espouses a hard-line stance on illegal immigration, leading raids to round up and jail illegal immigrants, and was a major proponent of the controversial Arizona immigration law. Perry has spoken with Arpaio several times over the phone since entering the presidential race.
Arpaio, a much sought after endorsement in the GOP field, plans to campaign with Perry in New Hampshire next week, the source said. The Texas governor will be in the Granite State Tuesday and Wednesday, holding three town halls and a breakfast at the Nashua Chamber of Commerce along with speaking at the New Hampshire State House...

PERRY is HARDLY stupid. TEXAS is doing a lot better than the rest of the States. We are SURVIVING the Obama onslaught. Other States Aren’t. Heard econ talking heads discussing the Cities that are getting ready to declared bankruptcy. Perry worked hard to get Texas out of the Boom-bust cycle of the oil industry. Atracking new industry to the State. The U.S would be lucky to have him as President.
If you love Perry so much, why not keep him there? Or are you guys just looking for an excuse to foist him on the nation to get a new governor?

I don’t think Arpaio would endorse Perry if he were not sure of his Commitment to sealing that border.
Joe is facing a recall effort, maybe he is looking ahead? The unions won a big one when they successfully recalled the author of their immigration bill, no one is safe from those thugs.

Maybe he is not stupid but he sure does a good job of projecting the image of being stupid. His “heartless” commented showed just how clueless he is.
Perry is very smart and quick...Obama can’t debate worth squat...he is one lousy debater. Perry will run circles around him.
Because we have this zero in the WH we want OUT and we think Perry can do it, or are you alright with Obummer?
That sounds more rational. Now let Gov. Perry introduce a plan that he considers “Humane”.
In June 2011 Debate Newt Gingrich called Americans Heartless for wanting to deport 20 million illegals.

No serious citizen who's concerned about solving this problem should get trapped into a yes/no answer in which you're either for totally selling out protecting America or you're for totally kicking out 20 million people in a heartless way. There are -- there are humane, practical steps to solve this problem, if we can get the politicians and the news media to just deal with it honestly."

The good Sheriff knows that Perry means it when he pledges to shut down the border within one year ! Perrry has the right strategy to do it...more boots on the ground, strategic fencing and aerial assets.
We feel sorry for the rest of you whose Governors haven't been as astute about leading their states into prosperity. Just trying to show you the way out and share the wealth.

I don’t understand your point. Yes, Gingrich called people who want the rule of law upheld “heartless” and “inhumane”. So did Perry.
