For being the “smartest” man in the race, this buffoon has no clue whatsoever. How many American workers are currently unemployed? Why do we need alien workers? Why do we want to continue subsidizing “cheap” foreign labor? Why continue burdening the taxpayers, law enforcement, courts, hospitals, schools, the welfare system, etc, with the illegal alien community?

Secure the borders.

Cut off all social benefits for illegals.

Clamp down on employers who hire illegals.

Deport illegals when caught.

Send the convicted criminals among them to prison.

The rest will leave as the freebies and opportunities dry up.

Bust up their families? Hell no! We’re not inhumane. They can take their families with them back home to Mexico.

That’s basically what’s happening in Texas with in-state tuition for illegals. They get tuition breaks (including state aid) under the premise they have applied for citizenship. You therefore have a group of people in citizenship purgatory. It’s is exactly as you say it is... a citizen hybrid. Wait until Newt and others say they should be given the same rights as true US citizens. It’s coming, folks.

Also, as the press is pointing out Bachmann also supported non-deportation early on, like a few months ago.

So, that leaves Sanatorum and Paul, of which Paul is a strict supporter os the US Constitution.

Then there’s Sarah as the TEA Party candidate.

Seems to me that he wants to create an unconstitutional citizen/non citizen hybrid that the supreme court would legalize to citizenship inside of 18 months.

Gingrich proposes a path to non-deportation.

Gingrich is actually trying to create another class of residents.

We have citizens. We have legal aliens. We have illegal aliens.

Gingrich wants to create legal non-citizen illegal residents.

We already have too much confusion in this country regarding illegals. We don't need legal non-citizen illegal residents to complicate the issue even further.

Red Card? Typical political canard that is just more Washington non-solution BS to make a problem appear to be resolved, while creating a potentially worse future problem -- and bigger bureaucracy to handle Red Card issues.

The so-called conservative candidates threw themselves overboard by backing issues positions not reflective of conservatism and therefore the base lost interest.

Cain and Bachmann have both made statements indicating acceptance of measures such as temporary worker programs and other “reasonable” measures.

Santorum said, “We can have that discussion” — later, after the border is secured, and he left it at that.

I know the Somos Republicans are on board. They portray themselves as latino republicans but are really nothing but pro amnesty latinos.

On the past they encouraged candidates to use tea partiers to get elected and then toss us overboard in favor of Amnesty.

Gingrich's own home state of Georgia passed a strong anti-illegal law a couple of years ago.

Maybe, if Gingrich had gone home, after his stint in the House, instead to taking up permanent residence INSIDE THE BELTWAY, he would know the feelings on this issue OUTSIDE OF THE BELTWAY.

Santorum has not, to my knowledge, ever ruled out other ways than blanket deportation, to deal with the 12m already here.
