Yeah, don’t you love the $5000 fine nonsense? These progressives have tried floating this one before.

Okay, so we let them stay, then what? Who enforces the payment of the fine? What if they refuse to pay it? Are they arrested? Encarcerated?

Let’s see, we can’t go round them up and put them on a deportation bus, but officers are going to knock on their doors demanding $5000?

As you — or perhaps another poster — said upthread, they think we’re stupid.

No one because they'll make sure to put in the law a hardship clause that will be so vague that it can interpreted any which way the executive branch wants to.
