A 23-year-old man charged with killing his girlfriend's 3-year-old daughter appeared before a judge Friday.
Police arrested Fredy Alexander Chingo Riz, of Willimantic, on Thanksgiving Day.
State police began an investigation Wednesday night after the victim, 3-year-old Athena Angeles, was taken from her home at 112 Hope Street in Willimantic to Windham Memorial Hospital in cardiac arrest. She died at the hospital.
Thursday, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner concluded the toddler died of blunt abdominal and chest trauma and ruled the death a homicide, police said.
Chingo Riz, an illegal immigrant here from Guatemala, admitted to police he had punched the girl in the stomach several times, according to court documents. He told authorities he had beaten her at least two other times as well.
Chingo Riz lived in the home with the 3-year-old victim and her mother. He was charged with manslaughter, risk of injury to a minor and assault. He was held on $1.5 million bond.

A ‘mother’ who would allow this might very well not even know who the father is. It doesn’t matter. HE didn’t carry that child in his womv for 9 months and allow her to be brutalized by a monster. The MOTHER did.

It DOES matter. That’s precisely my point. Sex without consequences, irresponsible sex, illegitimate children, deadbeat dads, unchecked illegal immigration.....all contribute to society degeneration and to what happened to this little girl.
The girl did have a father. Obviously he wasn’t in her life for whatever reason(s). But maybe if he had been, she’d still be alive today.

I wonder if he’s been here for 25 years...I’m guessing that given the opportunity, he could conjure up some paperwork showing he has been. Oh well, if only it wasn’t for that little child murder thing, he’d be well along Newt’s “path to non-deportation.”

Sadly, when I clicked on this thread I thought it was referring to the above story that happened yesterday here in Chicago. It was just another child. RIP, to both.
Not only do illegal aliens receive special perks in many places, but seems that they also often get more lenient treatment when the commit violent crimes.
