...."But "there is no path to citizenship in my Tuesday night comment on immigration," Gingrich told Newsmax. "There is a path to non-deportation for certified, very long-term community members but they would not have the right to vote."
The goal of his plan, Gingrich said, is to gain control of the border in 12 months while ensuring that English is the official language of the U.S. government. He wants even faster rules for the deportation of criminals and a guest worker program "outsourced to American Express, Visa or MasterCard to minimize fraud..."

This is a ridiculous straw man. We don't need mass roundups. We need a gradual tightening of the noose around illegals. Random raids need to be stepped up. Renting to illegals needs to become a criminal offense. Employing illegal aliens needs to be penalized with felony convictions, prison terms and harsh fines. Ultimately, the lawbreakers among us have to be held to account. Only then will the illegals give up and leave the country of their own accord. Note that there is no need for either amnesty or mass deportations. The current system of enforcement, without any further changes, would be preferable to legalization, for the simple reason that legalization would suck in millions of additional illegals waiting for the next amnesty to come along.
from Stinkie, Howlin, Bayourod, Illbay, poohbah, prn321 and others now long gone
now if one realizes 100% deportation and round ups will not happen they are a liberal jackass
lol...too funny...
I was zotted in those purges for having the same view I have now..pro Newt practicality but anti McCain-Bush II amnesty
and now I'm a liberal here
it's amazing the consistency and all
folks here should study Operation Wetback...in the mid 50s
no 24 hour news
no huge minority citizenry blocks
Ike's plan caused around 900,000 or so to just split...folks who had not been here very long...and he rounded up around 100,000 and when some were killed in transit public outcry stopped the shipping
Now today in light of demographics and TV folks here expect us to round up 20 million or more and ship them off to Mexican refugee camps or their original pueblo?...at gunpoint?...little serape wrapped women holding babies in the face of JBTs?..........does anyone here really think that would persist with the media ..even FOX...drumming in the negative imagery night after night?
ain't ever gonna happen...best we can hope for is to provoke many to leave on their own and then make some cut off to snag a fair number more but round ups in the barrios, chicken houses, hotels etc and quick deportation ain't happening...no matter how much we might not care here
best we can do is force self deportation by enforcing laws and close border and figure out who gets legal visa or not...which will come down to several criteria
and that is more or less the stand on this issue they all have except Bachmann...including Palin
Rubio who is adored here is more liberal on this than any of them
Freepers are still vested in Cain and loathe Newt...most anyhow
a few Perry folks hang on
unlike the others I think Newt can articulate his ideas on this sufficiently
btw..BTTT
Jobs purportedly tried radical diets, had a liver transplant, and traveled to Switzerland for experimental radiation treatments -- all in the desperate attempt to extend his own life as long as possible. And Kulke said its impossible to know whether these things made any difference.
Joseph Li said the answers lie in more funding for research organizations devoted to this rare cancer like The Caring for Carcinoid Foundation. Jobs, hes an example of a person who had a lot of means, he said, but at the end of day, he died of this disease.
Seems to me he tried a few things, desperately, but in the end, the isles of langerhans had their way.
Maybe he wanted to , in the end, be at peace with himself, via meditation and all, as the same article describes others with this rare form attempt in effort to gain some control of their lives.
Either way, your initial statement is a contender.
realize, I did stick up for you. Others were saying yours was the worst. I only mentioned that yours was not totally idiotic, simply a runner up.
Oh, and you have a nice day also.
So, based on that, how do you know Bachmann is serious when she says “deport them all?”
Gingrich is a honors graduate of the Rick Perry school of immigration studies...
No amnesty and no path to citizenship is simply the establishment Republican dream of a permanent slave wage class that can’t vote Demoncrap, but lets big bidness pump up
profit with cheap labor.
I get to subsidize that with my tax dollars to educate the illegal spawn and treat them at the emergency room.....
Who represents me?....

Here's your sign.
The Newtsters are a lot like the Perry people: “Why, you can’t load up a bazillion people, tearing them from the arms of their loved ones, loading them into cattle cars,” blah blah blah.
Then they segue into this `jump on the bandwagon!’ thing, and if you disagree with them on this issue (or any number of issues) then they pull out the ad hominem—`Why, you’re nothing but a “hater”—and they then present the false dilemma of Newt or Obama: If you don’t support (our guy) you’re voting for Obama.
This problem isn’t as complicated as they would have us believe. As you say, if we had a justice department serious about enforcing the law all along, there wouldn’t be a problem. Again, I’ll support any candidate who simply promises that he will secure our border and enforce the law. No one but Bachmann is saying that.
We shouldn’t have to expressly make that request: “As the nation’s top law enforcement officer, will you enforce the law? from a conservative candidate. Of course the problem is, Newt ain’t a conservative. He’s spinach and I say tahellwitim.
Ron Paul: Give illegals limbo status: a green card with an asterisk.
“Immigrants who can’t be sent back due to the magnitude of the problem should not be given citizenship—no amnesty should be granted. Maybe a “green card” with an asterisk could be issued. This in-between status, keeping illegal immigrants in limbo, will be said that it will create a class of 2nd-class citizens. Yet it could be argued that it may well allow some immigrants who come here illegally a beneficial status without automatic citizenship—a much better option than deportation.”

Ron Paul: Sending 12M illegals home won’t & shouldn’t happen
“Even with a healthy economy and stricter border controls, the issue of what to do with twelve-million-plus illegals already here would persist. One side says use the U.S. Army, round them up, and ship them home. The other side says give them amnesty, make them full-fledged citizens, and reward the lawbreakers, thus insulting and unfairly penalizing those who have patiently waited and obeyed our immigration laws. The first choice—sending twelve to fifteen million illegals home—isn’t going to happen and should not happen. Neither the determination or the ability to accomplish it exists. Besides, if each case is looked at separately, we would find ourselves splitting up families and deporting some who have lived here for decades, if not their entire life, and who never lived for any length of time in Mexico.”

Perry, IMO, is the expert when it comes to the border and illegals. I’m sure it is a day in, day out problem for him and has been working on what is best to secure the border. He did address this in one of the debates. He knew, specifically, what was needed that would work. Mitt and MB - build a fence, done, next question. They put in their 2 cents and should have just zipped the lip.
“Conservatism, experience, results, eloquence, statesmanship, knowledge.
SERIOUS solutions to SERIOUS problems!”
Where’s the “Barf Alert”?
“The Conservative who practices Capitalism and gets hated for it!”
Well, that’s a creative excuse.
Ron Paul: No amnesty, but impractical to round up 12 million illegals
Q: Is it even practical to try to send 12 million illegal immigrants all home?
A: “I would not sign a bill like [comprehensive immigration reform], because it would be amnesty. I also think that its pretty impractical to get an army in this country to round up 12 or maybe 20 million. But I do believe that we have to stick to our guns on obeying the law, and anybody who comes in here illegally shouldnt be rewarded. And that would be the case.”

1. Gain control of the border in 12 months
2. Ensure that English is the official language of the U.S. government.
3. Faster rules for the deportation of criminals
4. A guest worker program outsourced to American Express, Visa or MasterCard to minimize fraud
5. No amnesty or citizenship.
6. Encourage illegals to self deport by going after those who employ them or rent to them.
Any plan dealing with illegal immigration must include these points and I applaud Gingrich for stepping up and getting them out in the debate.
Things are way out of control and the above is a good start for a return to sanity.
When I worked in real estate, before obama, I was shocked to hear mortgage brokers give our office sales pitches for various Federal loan options for illegals.
Jobs had a milder form of pancreatic cancer which is usually survivable if treated. “... In my series of patients, for many subtypes, the survival rate was as high as 100% over a decade... “ Unfortunately Jobs was so smart his ego wouldn’t allow himself to submit to conventional medicine until too late.
Now, show me where Bachmann, Cain or Santorum has expressed support for a guest worker program. Lack of a mention for such does not count for what should be obvious reeasons.
Everyone is copying Rick Perry in almost every area. Look at the Arab states...they now have a no fly zone for Syria. It is almost like they are listening to Perry as if he is already president.
