I agree. Because we want the law enforced and the Feds didn't do their jobs after the amnesty bill was signed in '86, WE, the citizens and taxpayers, who are on the hook for everything illegals do, are the bad guys in all this. It's that "compassionate conservative" crap all over again.

Illegal immigration has punished all of us in different ways, but I think those of us who have raised kids have been hurt the most.

Other than staying out of the way (which I do, actually, respect him for), Perry hasn’t done jack for the Texas economy. Our ‘miracle’ here is that our homestead laws didn’t permit people to “extract” equity from their homes, so we never had a housing bubble and then a subsequent bust. It also doesn’t hurt that we’re right-to-work and that the price of energy (our bread and butter) remains high.

Yes Perry has been here for it, but no, he hasn’t done jack regarding the economy. And he’s made us the laughing stock of Republican-dominated states when it comes to dealing with ILLEGALS.

Cain has a little problem with articulating his opinions in all areas other then some business principles as applied to government regulations. I have watched him closely in the debates as well as his one on one with Newt. He shoots off the hip to often. But that does not mean I would not go to the polls and vote for him. And that quite frankly goes for any other person that is running against Obama.
Perhaps eighty plus percent of ones success during a presidency in modern times is who one selects as a VP, Cabinet, Staff, and in the most recent years, Czars.
The only two I would be very unhappy with are Huntsmen and Paul. The rest are not that divergent in views on most of the key issues. It is a matter of who has the slick enough demeanor to attract enough of the Republican cote in all it's current diverging views as well as similar the Independent voters.
I want the Kenyan usurper out along with his evil socialist bastards. I will settle for less then perfect conservative credentials. And what does that last sentence really encompass within it's entirely. An honest mental exercise sees variances in what some consider a given degree of conservatism within it's whole. If one where to choose say Paul with all his long term credentials to appear say as a close to full conservative in principles regarding constitutional law, and say balanced budgets, just to name to areas, we would be screwed when the Russians and the Chinese ramped up against him. He would be as in effective as the current stiff when it comes to Americas rule in the world as the protector of freedoms and through a strong active world wide military presence, the ability to project the warnings and consequential end results when rogue and other nations step out of line and ultimately threaten the well being of the USA and her real allies.
Likewise Huntsmen IMHO after carefully reviewing his performance thus far and answers to questions, leaves me to believe he would be more comfortable on a plane with say Hillary getting tanked up, or sitting in some office within the State Department trying to pretend to have importance and do nothing in the long run.
So in closing. I'm trying not to rip the guts out of most of the candidates for the sake of the eventual outcome being who can beat Obama in 2012. That's my position on this whole deal. I do appreciate the fever being displayed by many in trying to decide who best to elect. That is all part of the process we Americans have been blessed with for so many years. I'll answer your other two pings as well with a wish for you and all yours for a safe and content Thanksgiving Day.

What if some one invades your house with their 6 kids and says they are staying there because they have no place to stay and that you have to accept that otherwise you are heartless ? Yes, looking at his exact words it appears Newt would allow exactly the immigrants I speak of to STAY. That is, illegal aliens that have established large families here, and gotten involved DEEPLY in our everyday soecity and government where they learn the political process and use it to enact liberal policies to their advantage. Did you and I witness different statements from Newt?

Catholic voters keep getting beaten over the head on this forum with the fact that "Catholics voted for Obama". But you know WHICH "Catholics" supported him? It was those "conservative, church-going" hispanic Catholics. Maybe they can stop cheering on their corrupt government then when Mexico shows up to whine and scream about some rapist/murderer from Mexico getting justice when he rapes/tortures/kills someone in America. Alot of these criminals even kill "fellow Hispanics" and yet they feel sorry for the murderer instead of the innocent victim!
