The Political Derby Composite Poll is a tool that takes the most recent major polls and weights their results based on poll age, sample type, and margin of error each day using a proprietary formula. Unlike other poll compilations, this is not a simple average. The polls that make up the PD Composite are well-known reputable national polls who sample “likely primary voters” and “registered voters”, as opposed to only “adults, including, but not limited to: NBC News/Wall Street Journal, Pew Research, Quinnipiac University, and Rasmussen Reports... The PD Composite will be updated in a regular post that will run at least weekly, or more often if new polling data changes results significantly.

It’s time for Bachmann, Santorum and Huntsman to throw in the towel. Tell their supporters that they gave it their best effort and openly endorse one of the viable candidates.
I agree. It’s ridiculous that we have so many candidates at this stage of the game.

They won’t because they want to hog the national platform and they want to pretend they are VP material.
Doesn’t look like Mr. Cain has lost much at all, given the torrent of negative reports and attention over the past 3 weeks. Remarkable. May indicate deep dissatisfaction with Romney and Gingrich.
Same for Paul and Perry. Paul clearly has zero chance to secure the nomination and simply enjoys the spotlight. Perry melted under the spotlight of constant national media attention and most people don’t want a W clone (and Perry comes across as just that).
It seems that Cain’s supporters (including me) saw him as a voice for common sense conservatism AND as the best non-Romney in the field. But in the glare of media scrutiny, Cain has been tested and comes up lacking; it is not the allegations that are causing many of us to question Cain’s suitability, but rather Cain’s forced errors in other aspects of the campaign - that seem to have been brought on due to the close scrutiny (due to his meteoric rise and the allegations) he has been under.
Among the candidates who have a practical chance of being nominate and then elected, who is the voice for common sense conservatism AND as the best non-Romney in the field? Many people are answering: Gingrich. But it is hard to decide as each candidate has flaws (and the media will unfairly expose them and ignore Obama’s no matter who the GOP nominee is).
I suppose the primary process will narrow the field somewhat. I vote in one of the early primaries, so I might choose to send a message by voting for a “no-compromise” candidate like Bachman (who I am not convinced would make a good president, but whose positions and passion are generally admirable).
Actually, it's Romney 26%...and Anyone-but-Romney 47%+.
Hehehehe...despite the best efforts of the DNC/liberals/left and even the establishment GOP, people continue to trust Herman Cain and support him. He could give them all a big surprise in Iowa is my thinking and we'll see where it goes from there, particularly then in South Carolina and then Florida.

Most of Bachman and Santorum’s 9-10% would go to Cain IMHO. Huntsman’s 2% would probably go to Romney.

You’re picking up what I’m laying down. It WILL NOT go to Romney and that’s the point.
Orders of magnitude better so than Obama, and much closer to the conservative values we espouse and cherish than the other GOP candidates currently at the table.
Iowa is going to say a lot in this regard.

I told my husband Washington has already chosen Romney for us. He said it was impossible. The guy is unelectable because he's unlikeable and has too much political baggage. I told him "OK. We'll see."
Time has passed, and every time we come up with an "Anybody but Romney" candidate, he/she is taken out by someone or something. One by one. I once again told my husband Romney has already been chosen for us. No one else stands a chance. He then said "OK. We'll see about that. "
Well, so far, I've been right, and he's noticed - finally. He said if Romney turns out to be our candidate, he'll never get involved in politics ever again. "There's no way he should be our guy, especially since this is the conservatives chance of a lifetime. If he is our candidate in the end, then we're being played like fools, and it doesn't matter at all what we as voters do. "Primaries" are nothing but a way for the RNC to collect donations."
Now my husband is paying closer attention. He's noticed NO ONE is attacking Romney - the one who's the easiest of all to attack. He's starting to get peeved. I think he now agrees Romney must be the "chosen one".
Oh, I agree...except for Huntsman’s followers.
And, when the time comes, I believe the same can be said for Perry’s going to Cain.
Now, with Paul...and Paul’s people, you never know...they are a mixed libertarian group of people...and he may not even get out of it until the end in any case.
Notice the headline lists Romney first but the chart shows Cain above Romney. Even this article can’t be honest and will do anything to get Romney the nod.

I do not think Cain has been “knocked out.” I believe the MSM, DNC, and GOP establishment think he has and are acting that way...but he did not drop far enough behind and seems to be regaining momentum.
This composit shows him once again tied at the top with Romney.
If he wins Iowa, it will be a game changer, IMHO.
I am not giving up on him and he still has my support.
The actual votes of the people will shake people out of the race. I wouldn’t reccommend anybody get out of a race based on polls alone. The powers that be would love that!
