She is just making stuff up...I mean Governor Perry has NO PROBLEM WHATSOEVER PROPERLY EXPRESSING HIMSELF, in fact, he is better than most. He’s been governor for 11 years. Why on earth would he keep being re-elected, if he had trouble expressing himself. OH well, hopefully the blind will one day see.
LOL! Because all the voters are Texans!
It might be that northeast bigotry that if someone speaks a little differently they are looked down on. Perry has a southern/TX sound in his voice and word usage. I'm from the midwest and noticed he speaks a little differently then we do. I like it that he's not an ivy league, beltway type. I like his ideas and how easily they could be implemented and have a dynamic effect.
I thought his answer on cutting aid to China was spot on. Why should we give aid to a country that kills 35,000 babies a day.
“Why on earth would he keep being re-elected, if he had trouble expressing himself.”
Because he didn’t “do” debates and of the few he did through the years, they were on PBS and few people would see it and they were short. He travels the state and shakes hands and utters these words in no particular order: “smaller government, lower taxes, tort reform (that would come out as law reform if he didn’t remember “tort”), etc.
The above is fine if you don’t have serious opposition and he didn’t because Texas is major Republican. Being the President of the United States is quite different and requires communication skills all the time and every word a President says is important - all over the world.
I worked for Perry every time he ran (been around him for years at gatherings, parties, workshops, etc.), but I cannot do it in good conscience for President - I just can’t. Sure, I would like our President to be from Texas, what Texan wouldn’t, but this country is in serious trouble and I have to, with my knowledge and serious contemplation, choose the one I think can do the best job of literally saving this country from destruction.
I’m not going to write all this again but wanted you to know why I can’t choose my own governor for president.
There is a presidential debate tomorrow night on CNN.
See my post 104 to Shield.
