Rick Perry Takes "Center Seat" on Fox News Special Report at 6:35 - 6:40 PM EST

These Fox News Special Report "center seat" interviews - questioning by 3 or 4 Fox News regulars - start off on TV, and then usually move online at 7PM EST - at the link above. I think these are pretty intensive & fair interviews; the last one with Gingrich was very informative. Hope Perry proves to the world he's not the idiot of popular caricature; he's my 2nd choice, if Gingrich should fall.

the Russians are using Latakia as a shared port with the Syrian navy.... They - the Russians - have installed and upgraded antiaircraft missile systems since the 70's. they've also installed radar and are believed to have been involved in supplying Hezbollah with electronic intel they were intercepting from Israel..... Syria is a hornet's nest that needs attention, but not from Ranger Rick alone.

Yes indeed...and further russia has just planted their ships at Syria's coastline with the idea that nobody is to interfer with what Syria is doing in their country.....you go after Syria you're going to face Russia as well.

Perry doesn't know enough of the situation to say what he did...or if he does.. saying he'd go it alone without allies is just foolish beyond no end.

IMO let the Middle East leaderships handle Syria...however Ricks right about Syria IS basically Iran.....Syria oftentimes more than not does Irans bidding. They are two peas in a pod.

Outlaw Women, wonderful song by Hank Jr (Bocehepus).

Buccaneer2011: I've tried to protect Perrys honour all night against your attacks. I got LOW and attacked your Man Cain. Life's to short for this. The very Sad thing about this is I'm not gonna have a choice in this (being from Texas) and neither are you, by the time the Primaries get to me a bunch of Liberal, independents in yankee land will have made my choice for me....Sad....

The second entry tonight in this Great Forum concerning Perrys apperance on the “Center Seat” was good-you weren't there.

The ad read:

Wanted: Agreeable shill for my opinions to post to Bunny Slippers with the sole purpose of pissing her off.

Pay: The satisfaction of seeing her absolutely clueless responses.

Better than Obama.

While true, that's much like saying a tropical storm is better than a hurricane as you survey your flooded home.

Did you notice that the Fox panel seemed a little uncomfortable when Rick mentioned the baby killing in China?

I noticed....I don't think that was any where's near the r the reason they were expecting from their question on China funding..not by any means and it threw them completely. Plus Perry had to be careful since we owe China so much money....and China is throwing their weight around and have leverge in other countries for the investments and trade they have developed over the years.....So going to the abortion issue with China was a "safe" bet. Actually a good move for a televised show.

I don't think they are in "madly in love with a candidate", I think they are getting paid to do post.

I don't think that at all.

I've worked as a volunteer on various campaigns in the past and wasn't paid a dime, nor did I expect it.

I see this as people enthusiastically supporting their candidates, much in the same manner that I worked on these campaigns.

There were people putting up several Sarah Palin threads a day when speculation was high that she was running and I never once suspected that these people were being paid, either.

The issue here is certain people who appear on any Perry thread and many other non-Perry threads and start obsessively trashing him. And they aren't doing it in a rational and constructive manner; it's a tired old run of lame jokes that they literally spam threads with.

I personally have never gone on a Cain or Gingrich (or Palin or anyone but Romney or Paul) thread and started slamming the candidate. One reason is that the only candidates I really despise are Romney and Paul and the other is that it's just counterproductive and childish behavior.

It really does put FR in a bad light and I hate to see that.

I'm going to start watching Cain threads more closely and see if there are Perry supporters swarming them with childish insults, but honestly, I have not seen a lot of that up to now.

One person posting here went on the thread about Jose Pimentel yesterday and immediately insulted and blamed Perry - in the first few posts on the thread.

A lot of these people have been observed trying to bully and intimidate those who disagree with them.

I see one on here talking about "our side."

I thought we were all on the same "side" here. Aren't we supposed to be about keeping Romney off the ticket and defeating Obama? The level of vicousness and obsession with some of these people really makes me wonder if some of them have some sort of unsavory agenda.

Sure, it's natural for us to have one candidate we favor over the others, but the vicious acrimony towards the rest of the field is completely unnecessary.

People are getting more and more disgusted with the childish and rude behavior of some of these people. It only takes a handful to make the whole site look bad.

That irritates the heck out of me.

When are we going to figure out that the primary system is a mess. Everyone should vote on the same day.

Why can’t Texas move their primary up to the day before the first primary.

Doesn’t Perry rule Texas. He needs to get ‘er done.

I saw it more as a genuine conviction since Perry is a totally committed pro-life person. More than a ‘safe bet’ or a good ploy but maybe I’m just too trusting.

I’ve had ugly comments directed at me on Perry threads. It used to really bother me, but I now cope by never responding to those people and trying to ignore them.

I did report abuse on one thread that was particularly infested with vermin and it seemed to slow it down a little but the best thing to do is never engage these people or respond to them at all.

Of course, I fail sometimes ...

However it's Perry's muslim associations and is snuggling up to them that has my concern over all else. He just does not understand the stealth islam threat.....that even concerns me more than the immigration issues because at least he identifies there's a problem....but with islam he has it soooo wrong.

That's not quite the truth there.

There was a Muslim event held in Texas. He, as governor, did his pomp-and-circumstance thing. I'm not saying I liked it, but he does not "snuggle up" to them and has made it clear on many occasions that he strongly supports the war on terror and is a friend of Israel.

Rick Perry is the most confused politician ever. First, does China receive a billion in foreign aid, or 30 million throughout PEPFAR?? The answer- ZERO. China does not receive foreign aid or PEPFAR funds

Actually, Perry got it right, and you didn't. I guess that makes you the confused newbie!

U.S. Offers Foreign Aid to Countries Holding Billions in Treasury Securities

I see no need to embarrass you further by slicing and dicing the remainder of your post, being it's your first day and all.

I think allot of States are fighting that right now (Floriduh) in particular. I may be mistaken but right after Perry was talkin’ Secede (2009 Texas Tea Party, Sarah Palin), He voiced his opinion about moving up the Primaries in Texas. It quickly died like allot of RED Meat issues.

I understand this about Perry, Moving here from Naw’Lins 20 years ago, the political climate in Texas is SANE, not INSANE.

2 asides: I campaigned for David Duke (of KKK fame) for Gov while in Louisiana over Edwin Edwards, whose bumper Sticker was “Vote for the Crook, It's Important (I kid you not) - David Duke almost won. (I know almost don't count)

Has Sarah endorsed any of the current GOP candidates besides Rick? (TX-GOV 2010)
