I have been agnostic on the Republican primary so far, but the time for choosing has arrived.
For the reasons set forth below, I believe that the primaries will come down to Mitt Romney versus Newt Gingrich. As such, the choice is not between Newt Gingrich and some hypothetical more perfect conservative candidate, as Newts most vocal critics would have us believe.
Im supporting Newt Gingrich as the most conservative Republican who is electable and most qualified for the position of President.

I will enthusiastically vote for Cain.
I will hold my nose for Newt or Perry.
NEVER ROMNEY!
I do not doubt for a second that Herman Cain, or Newt Gingrich, or Rick Perry, or Michelle Bachmann, or Rick Santorum could do the Presidency much better than the current commie-in-chief. But I am solidly behind Newt at this point because he has the vision, the agenda, and the brilliance needed in this our hour of extreme peril. If my house is on fire, I don’t asked the firemen coming to save me and mine how many times and under what circumstances they’ve dealt with the institution of marriage.
I make pies.

You make great pies...
:)
I concluded six weeks ago (and posted) that I was voting for Newt Gingrich in the NH Primary, and developments since then make me feel better about it than I did back then.
“NEVER ROMNEY!”
Why? You like Obama that much?
NEVER EVER ROMNEY !!!!!!!!
Thank you. Maybe that’s why my pie hole is always smiling?
Hmmmmmmmmmm
Maybe so ...
I like neither...but at least with Obama, you know the enemy........Romney will piss on your leg and tell you it’s raining.
kerping ... Cobra’s linked video is a keeper.
Iowa 'CAUCUS' Gingrich 32%
Romeny 19%
Cain 13%
Ron Paul 10%
Michele Bachman 6%
Rick Perry 6%
Rick Santorum 5%
Jon Huntsman 2%
Go Newt!!!!!!
Hey Jim...you can feel really good...Newt just took the Iowa Caucus poll at 32%...Romeny at 19% ....Cain at 13%.
Today was a very good day!
Bravo! Bravo! MHGinTN!!!!! Worthy of a repeat......
Newt Gingrich....A man with a sense of our historic peril who has offered a plan to address such peril is the only way We The People can avert our final collapse. we cannot stop the economic collpase by demanding things from a Congress which gave itself the right to amass wealth via legalizing their own insider trading. Only an executive who sees the peril and offers solid ways yo deal with the peril can lead US in this peril. We must elect a man who has the vision and the insights from History which can address the peril.
Herman Cain is a good man. He loves this nation and wants with all his heart to help save it from destriuction. Rick Perry instinctively comprehends the purposed decline the progressives are carrying out. Michelle Bachmann has hands on experience with the piss and vinegar flowing freely in Congress. Rick Santorum is not just espousing pro-Life, he IS pro-life as evidenced in his life. Ron Paul sees the insidious power of the fed and wants to rein it in before our Republic is the fed’s indentured servant.
We have a fine slate of candidates. But there is only one man who combines the brilliance of insight derived from knowing how we got here and what our Nation has come through, with the clarity of what it is going to take to pull US out of the death spiral we are now in. He can debate Barry Obama and show the world what an empty shirt the current pResident is. He can articulate a future for the war we must win against militant Islam, militant economic indenture, and militant secularism.”
And that’s why I am voting for Newt!
Show me one person over 21 that doesen’t have any baggage and i’ll show you a liar.
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! eloquent one - your entire, perfect post.

The anecdote was repeated ad nauseam when Gingrich became House speaker in 1995. Then it was repeated ad nauseam
when he filed for divorce with his second wife, Marianne, in 1999.
The story came up again in the mid-2000s when Gingrich was openly mulling a 2008 presidential bid.
In 2007, when Gingrich told James Dobson in a radio interview that he had in the 1990s cheated
on his second wife (with his current wife, Callista), several stories about the admission also noted the 1980 hospital encounter.
If Gingrich is really serious about a 2012 candidacy, expect the hospital story to stay with him throughout the campaign.

That’s a straw man argument. Newt is not about just “any” baggage.
You are very welcomed Sir...it was more than a pleasure to read...
I wouldn’t be at all concerned about the “editing” though....the content far outweighs any “mis-step”..had your fingers paused even a little bit then the passion would not have been heard behind the words. Tone can often be as important as words....Good Post...very good.
