This might be the ultimate Cain clip, just because his response is the perfect synthesis of his good and bad attributes. On the one hand, he’s not going to pander with a slick answer designed to reassure some reporter. He’s doing this the Cain way. If you don’t like his response, keep walking. On the other hand: What?

Depends on what you mean by scripted. Yes, the posts are scripted, so that they come out the exact same every time.

Perry also mentioned Bolton as someone he wants on his staff. They all make speeches and say “in my administration” or “when I’m president”. Is it okay for every one of them BUT Cain to talk this way? Either it’s okay for all because that’s how candidates speak or it’s not okay for all and I
expect you go on the threads with all the other candidates with the same criticism.

No. We have a list of people who ping the list instead. I look for the following things.
1, is this news? Does it tell us something about Herman that we didn’t already know? Is it an interview with Herman that hasn’t yet been put up?
2, Is it constructive? Is the intent of the article to slam Herman, or is it to provide us with something we didn’t already know.
3, Is it reliable? Can we trust that the information in the article is something that we can be reasonably sure is true?
4, Did I enjoy the article? I read everything I ping before I ping. This isn’t something that I would trust a script.
This man is dreaming, and a tad bit early to be saying that he had discussed anything with anyone.
Thinking of someone to be in your cabinet is one thing, saying you talked with them already is another.
BTW: He then said, he was only kidding about Kissinger, what a cut up.
