Newt was right...who in their right mind could answer such an absurd question in 30 seconds? the others did try though...LOL...Maria, “answer in 30 secs what you would do after Obamacare was repealed,?” the others tried to respond and Newt said, “ what an absurd question” lol he later said he would love to debate Obama one on one in a Lincoln Douglas style debate

Yeah...I didn’t think about that. It appears that Graham might have angered some people with “strong arm” tactics with the NLRB.(One thing he has gotten tough on in the last few years). Link here:

No, I'm beginning to think Cain is the victim of

1) a debate format itself, rigged by the leftist MSM - and these guys just walk right into it like Christians walking into the lions den asking, "What's for lunch?"

2) his "handlers", the "campaign experts". I think they've got Cain not being Herman Cain. He's got to stop listening to those people and start speaking from his gut and his heart as well as his head. He's got a lot to say. Best thing I've heard from him in awhile was last night on Michael Savage when he was himself, candid, lucid, and fielded some good questions from Savage with answers that showed a range of understanding that we don't see in this wooden version we get in these "debates."

Only sixty minutes tonight? Great, even less time for the candidates on such serious issues. :-/

BTW, anyone know of an on-line link to this debate?
TV-less here.

When are the conservative candidates going to say enough already and not submit to these cartoonish events that allow for no real in-depth inquiry into the issues and purposely marginalize the candidates?

The other night Cain and Gingrich had the only real debate I've seen do far put on by the Tea Party. It was more like a forum but they were allowed to talk for an extended period of time and allowed to delve into he issues that really matter to Americans. They need to quit this nonsense and go over to that format run by those people.

The GOP leadership decided on all of these debates.

However, you raise a good point - Perry and Romney were offered the chance to do a similar debate to Cain and Gingrich's and they turned it down. Very odd since it could have helped both men out, especially Perry. It would give Perry a chance to stay away from some of the moments that have hurt him during the debates, and give him a chance to discuss his ideas at length.

Chicago is one city I would never want to live in...would not know who to trust? the cops? the authorities? it is a mess...city is so full of corruption. I think that church is not a “church” I would attend EVER. How O sat in the pews for 20 yrs and never knew what Rev Wright was preaching is beyond me

I’m not for Gingrich for POTUS, but he’s a master debater and probably the only reason I might want to watch this debacle - for the entertainment value of watching Gingrich play with and show these propped-up, no-nothing media moderators for who they really are.

Something like that. Let’s hope Smarty Pants Linda doesn’t go first with the questions.

Or regardless, work “the answer” into any question they throw at them. It can be done. And just talk over them if they try to shut the speaker off saying “illegal immigration” is not a topic here. MAKE IT A NATIONAL SECURITY ISSUE.

FYI....

CBS is only going to air an 1 hour or their own debate!

...Yes, this is really happening. 8 p.m. ET on CBS. As a concession to how low public interest is likely to be, especially head to head with Oregon/Stanford, CBS won’t carry the whole debate. It’ll run for 90 minutes but they’re cutting out at 9 p.m. for … a re-run of “NCIS.” If you want to watch the last half hour, switch over to CBSNews.com or National Journal. Perfectly fitting treatment for a key policy subject that’s been mostly an afterthought this year.

So is Senator Graham going to go after the "bigots" and "tell them to shut up" on the issue of border sovereignty/national security?

I sure hope DeMint asks this question.
