A last-ditch drive ends in disappointment for Penn State, which loses to Nebraska, 17-14. Not having any timeouts crippled the offense, which completed two passes short of a first down, including one with seconds left, but couldn't stop the clock.
This is a different Saturday in State College. Immediately after McGloin's final pass fell incomplete, the Penn State crowd cheered the team's effort: the cheering grew to a roar as the two teams again met a midfield, such as they did right before the game.
Again, as occurred several times during the game, there were chants of "We love JoePa." Interviewed after the game, interim coach Tom Bradley said that what Penn State has gone through over the last week is "unprecedented in the history of college sports."

It’s called integrity, decency, honor...
If my son had played that game I would have been ashamed of him.
Clean house from top to bottom.
This isn’t over yet...!
I guess you don't think the candle-light vigil, blue-out in support of victims of child abuse, or prayer showed any class.
Correct. This whole Penn State thing has brought out the most uninformed and idiotic posts I have ever seen on this site.
I'd like to think Joe Paterno would not have looked the other way, either. Who knows whether he did or didn't? Unless you have special inside information, not you.
Yeah it is kind of funny, but we're all different.
Me? I'm against speed traps, dogs that bark at night and wake up everybody, and those that commit, enable, and cover-up homosexual child rape.
Another FReeper I know is against militant vegans, helmet laws, and those that commit, enable, and cover-up homosexual child rape.
That is kind of funny, isn't it?
Would we have even FReepers defending McQueary with he may have thought it was consentual?
FReepers are defending this?!
How the H*LL is anal sex with a TEN YEAR OLD CONSENTUAL?!?!?!
Read this thread.
We would never know. The boy raping fag would’ve just immediately gone away to nowhere never to be heard from or seen again and the incident would never have been made public.
To put it succinctly, people think they know a lot more than they do. Others post flat-out lies.
There is no one supporting pedophilia at Penn State, sans Sandusky, and possibly Spanier, Curley, and Schultz.
There is also no one tolerating pedophilia here, with the exception of Spanier, Curley, Schultz, and possibly Paterno and McQueary.
To act like Penn State fans are in support of pedophilia or at least tolerating it is flat out wrong.
What the heck is wrong with you? This isn’t rocket science.
Little boys were raped...people knew...including the coaches!!
Joe Paterno should go to jail for allowing this to continue.
[FReepers are defending this?!

The is exactly the question I was asking some fellow FReepers last night...but apparently, the reason McQueary didn’t stop Sandusky on the spot is because “he may have thought it was consentual.” So apparently if you witness a 10 year-old being raped, unless they are screaming and begging for your help, it is understandable that you would turn around and walk and be attending fundraisers with the child rapist within a month.
No, I think they are supporting it.
Right because those of us who work for or attend college at Penn state all enjoy pedophilia. Thanks moron.
Did not seem that students lashed out at all from what I saw. They lashed out against the firing of the athletic coach and media that was actually covering a story, FOx news for one. Why would I support them?
Care to clarify?
Maybe America should be shut-down or nuked into oblivion because of our dear leaders in power now. Definitely all olympians should be ashamed for competing for America.
Makes about the same amount of sense as what some are posting here.
Publius would be a great mentor for, as is left that other site.
;0)
Well, what you think and what is reality are two very different things.
