After week of turmoil, it's gameday at Penn State

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) -- The Nebraska and Penn State players gathered at midfield before the game, kneeling together for a long moment in a quiet stadium. Sometimes, the most powerful statements are the simplest. A child sex-abuse scandal involving former assistant Jerry Sandusky has rocked Penn State to its core, cost Joe Paterno his job and prompted a week's worth of soul-searching. Saturday's game was a combination of pep rally, cleansing and tribute, fans and players balancing their wish to show love for Penn State and Paterno while also wanting to support victims of abuse. "This has been one of the saddest weeks in the history of Penn State and my heart goes out to those who have been victimized. I share your anger and sorrow," new school president Rod Erickson said in a video played in the first quarter.

“This is a real shame that the game went on today.”

MONEY, and the Gay Agenda, trumps all.
Welcome to the NEw America.
I’m glad my grandfather never lived to see what’s going on today, he’d be heartbroken.

I thought so too. Nauseating. I’m so glad they lost. The announcers had said earlier that if they won the players were going to walk the game ball to Paterno’s home.

That should be the last game at Beaver Stadium for a long time.

1961 PSU grad. Your comment sums it up pretty well. I believe there is lots more to come. It will get real ugly.

The Penn State I attended was an institution to be proud of. Some say Penn State was like a cult. That is pure pap and is coming from people who detest anyone who attempts to take the high road. Nonjudgementalism is what they’re about. It revalidates them when an otherwise honest person make stumbles. The difference between them and the nonjudgementalist is they know when they’ve crossed the line and acknowledge their guilt. Nonjudgementalists hold this view in abject contempt. Voila—Penn State.

IMHO Penn State began losing its way in in the late 1960s. That’a when it chose to become a willing tool of the left. The Penn State-Sandusky scandal unfolding in front of our eyes is the direct result excizing your conscience on the alter of Marxism.

The fact is, Penn State has been riding on its moralist past for decades. Administrations subsequent to Walker all drove the university to the Marxists.

The very real tragedy, beyond the abuse, is that most of those in authority at Penn State have no guilt for what they did. They are in their homes (1) cursing having been caught and (2) protesting being judged by a bunch of mentally subordinate and moral neanderthals.

The Marxist rot runs deep in what had been known as Happy Valley.

It should be noted that the players aren’t the criminals here.

We don't know that yet.

I would have been proud of them only if they had decided to sit the game out.

When the incident happened at Duke with the men's lacrosse team, didn't the university cancel the rest of the season?

Queers raping little boys is labeled as child sex scandal. But, I thought it was a sexual preference. Note too, that these little boys were pimped to queers all over the city. Tell me again, how male queers are not obsessed with little boys—its part of the lifestyle still hidden in the closet.
