Via Mediaite, what do you think? You think the famously cautious Romney would be willing to start his term with a nasty confirmation hearing featuring lots of mud-slinging by Democrats about sexual harassment? You think a President Perry or President Gingrich would be any more eager for that? (Newt seems more inclined towards a John Bolton type, which would present problems of a different sort.) Ironically, Cains a better prospect for VP now than he is for a cabinet position precisely because thats the only path to power left for him that would avoid the need for congressional approval.
Heres a list of Romneys foreign policy and national security advisors, incidentally. Chertoff, Hayden, Cofer Black: All respect to Cain for his Navy work, but somehow I dont see President Mitt installing an establishment outsider atop the defense pyramid when he has a stable like that. Given his economic focus and personal charm, Cain would be better off with an ambassadorship. What about Ubeki-beki-beki-beki-stan-stan? (Yes, I know, ambassadors need to be confirmed too.)

How’s your single digit idgit doing???
Maybe it’s Hotair, but why do so many of us WANT a president that’s “a better prospect for VP now than he is for a cabinet position precisely because thats the only path to power left for him that would avoid the need for congressional approval.”
We’ve got one now that couldn’t have passed security clearance for an underling position. So you want one that couldn’t get congressional approval for a cabinet post?
Let alone the obvious question; you want a pizza CEO who never served in uniform heading the Dept. of DEFENSE???
And the best question of all - you want that for President? I really don’t get it, Cainiacs. Sorry.
That's what pragmatic wimps do.
It's hard to decide, so we will screw everyone equally across the board.
On the national stage? I dont know.
Hows that Godfathers Profit margin working out?
All I know is Texas is working.
You mean non existent sexual harassment.
I think you mean the 3 term Gov
Texas working?
Not so much.
Now I remember why I took HotAir off my blogroll.
BFD. Texas worked under Richards too.
You want Romney at HHS??
You must love ObamaCare. He will never get rid of it.
Lets have
a look at memphis or ‘lanta
Yeah cause making vague promises about maybe cutting something from the Fed Government some day like Perry shows so much more “leadership” then an across the board 10% cut.
The man who is pulled around Austin by his wife and his big shot donors.
The man who can't string three coherent sentences together.
That man.
Cain never said it.
He was asked what position he’d like in a GOP admin (not Romney specifically) if he didn’t win.
Your angst should be directed at HotAir.
Pragmatic reasons?
Someone is paying you? Someone you know benefits directly from the biggest retard in the history of politics running for President?
There is nobody in the United States who thinks that Perry isn’t the worst possible choice to go against Obama.
Maybe that’s it. Perry is a Democrat. Or was until Karl Rove asked him to switch.
Perry is a complete and total failure as a candidate. A laughingstock. But rich Democrats are giving him money.
They know that he’d be embarrassed in a debate with Obama. Obama would win. Perry would be so bad that Republicans would stay home and the Dems would take the house and the senate. Perry’s awfulness turns the tide.
Obama doesn’t need money for the Primaries.
And Perry is such a ridiculous bozo that Soros must be the one funding him because no conservative republican would.
So hows that Godfather Pizza thing workin out?
Do we have some stats?
Ordered one last week. *NOT*
Good old Hot Air. You can always count on them to be a good little GOPbot propaganda outlet. Cain never said any such thing.
Cain was asked by radio host Mike Savage, IF he were asked to take a Cabinet post, BY ANY GOP President, what he would like to head? Cain said he would like to run DOD.
As usual the GOPEstablishement media is simply making up their own facts.
The city dog catcher could beat Obama.

wasn’t Cain in the Navy?
Why would you believe anything that HotAir has to say?
