The leader of a tea party group is calling for scandal-embroiled GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain to drop out of the race.
Judson Phillips, the founding leader of Tea Party Nation, said Cains flailing response to sexual harassment allegations brought forward by several women was simply unacceptable.
Herman Cain has got to go, Judson said in an email to Tea Party Nation members. I do not believe Cains accusers. There are too many questions about them. The allegations are not why Cain should leave. The campaigns response is why he should now withdraw.

I’m a self-proclaimed tea party leader and I call for Mitt Romney to drop out of the race for the republican nomination and instead challenge Obama as a democrat.
Well said
watching this old man flounder and smirk and try to dismiss these women with wisecracks is embarrassing
to think so many conservatives want to elevate him to POTUS, is just “anyone but Romney” on steroids and a helluva way to choose the next leader of the formerly-free world
Having an unqualified leftist as POTUS is bad, so would be having an unqualified rightist who has yet to be fully explored as to his health with diagnosed stage 4 colon cancer ( in remission..but under stress...?)
Standing up for global values of freedom requires a type of wisdom and leadership I do not see in Herman Cain.
He cannot even shut down a bimbo eruption, how is he supposed to prevent nuclear war?
So, did you dump this girl that you are dating?
the tea party has no leader.........that is why it cannot be directly attacked...anyone who says they are a leader is a liar, and should be ignored
That’s because the MSM keeps saying that. It’s not true.
His fundraising is still better than ever - and he won all these polls after the hit piece came out (including the FL Rasmussen after Bialek):

Hey putz, stop supplying the enemy w/ amo!
You wrote: “Tea Party conservatives call on Judson Phillips to quit fraudulently trying to hijack the tea party to his liberal establishment agenda.”
Ditto for Dustin Stockton of the “Tea Party Network” who attempted to raise money by email which attempted to scam unwary TEA people on 9/16/2011 into thinking that “Rush Limbaugh called and wanted to join their efforts”.
The minute I saw that email I knew it was BS. I know that Rush doesn’t jump on anyone’s bandwagon but his own. Sure enough, the very first thing Rush did when he came on the air that day was to DENY their claim.
Here’s that email Stockman sent out (I saved it in my archives for future reference):
September 16, 2011
Dear Patriot,
With the modern success of talk radio hosts like Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, Michael Savage, Glenn Beck, Hugh Hewitt, Lou Dobbs, etc., and literally hundreds of local conservative talkers, it is easy to forget that this is a relatively new medium that was championed by one man, Rush Limbaugh. Rush Limbaugh used his vision and creativity to launch an entire industry on the radio devoted to championing conservative ideas, and, after more than two decades, he continues to shape conservative politics from behind his famous, golden EIB microphone. I remember listening to Rush in the car as a kid and most of my fellow conservative activists under the age of 30 are proud to give partial credit for our conservative beliefs to him by self-describing ourselves as Rush babies. Stop and think a moment. Where would conservatism and this country be without Rush Limbaugh?
Despite being a key figure on the political landscape for decades, Rush was one of the first and most ardent supporters of the Tea Party movement. He regularly defends the movement from the vile and vicious attacks launched by the establishment both in politics and media. It is nearly impossible to underestimate his impact on modern politics, which is why when his team contacted us about possibly teaming up with the Rush Limbaugh Show, we were deeply honored. It is very difficult to get any of the coveted national spots on his program that are heard on more than 600 of the most popular talk stations across the country, but they singled out this organization—TheTeaParty.net—as a group that they would like to work with.
The plan that we are discussing involves having access to his national audience estimated at more than 20 million weekly listeners through a series of commercials, with our eventual goal being for Rush to do regular live endorsements on the air, which are even more rare and almost impossible to get! We regularly stress that our strength is in numbers; well, imagine how it would help our growth if we can attract the assistance of Rush Limbaugh! Both of our teams are dedicated to building a long and prosperous relationship to help save this country we all love. THIS IS GOING TO BE A GAME CHANGER for all of us in the Tea Party movement!!!
A partnership with Rush Limbaugh would catapult our organization into being able to accomplish even bigger and better things than we are already doing! More members, more contributions, more facebook and twitter followers—this is going to be HUGE for this organization and the Tea Party movement as a whole, and his team deserves to be compensated accordingly for these highly sought-after spots. They have been very generous in giving our nonprofit organization a substantial discount but also understand the value of what they are offering us, which is why we need to raise $100,000 for the first series of national ads! If we can make a $100,000 investment in the largest and most consistent conservative audience in the country, our metrics have proven that not only will our membership grow by hundreds of thousands, but we will directly return more than the $100,000 we put in while recruiting thousands more patriots to the movement. The literal definition of a win-win.
This organization has thrived because we have seized on opportunities and by taking carefully calculated risks to expand the Tea Party base. Our team believes that in addition to the Fox News television spots we will be releasing very soon to support the Tea Party movement, this is the biggest opportunity that we have been presented with. We hope that we can count on your generous financial support to make it happen week after week! Together, we have built a political powerhouse by making campaigns like these a success, and we need your help again. Please dont contribute anything you cant afford, but if you can make a contribution of $10, $25, $50, or any other amount, we can start building a relationship with Rush Limbaugh and after that the possibilities are endless!
As you know, if you make a contribution of $100, we include you in our list of Patriot Contributors, but for this important project, we are creating a separate list of Dittohead contributors who make a contribution of $250, $500, $1000 or $5000. Imagine the pride you will feel when you hear that first ad while listening to Rush, knowing that you made that happen! I know that we can make this a success, and I remain honored and humbled by your continued support.
Thank you,
Dustin Stockton
Chief Strategist

Who cares what Judson Phillips (whoever he is) thinks.
Medved is an incessant RINO. He is exceptionally intelligent and well spoken and so very wrong about so many things.
He should stick to conspiracies and big foot investigations and leave the politics to the sane members of society.
Cain drops out over these false accusations and and the Democrats can make anything up and they will ruin all of our candidates out of the picture.
Medved, I know you read these posts, ROMNEY IS UNELECTABLE!
He can not garner more than 25% of the Republican vote. In the off chance he gets the nomination Obama would win by default, MUCH LIOKE HE DID AGAINST McCain!
Re: your post #56 on Judson’s history.
Oh Good! So the little turd has shot his wad and is grasping at straws to stay important and maybe scam some more money.
Is that you Karl Rove?
Do we have a Freeper list of legitimate Tea Party “.org’s”?
How about ones for the candidates? I read a post last night in a thread that said ‘Friends of Herman Cain” were crooks. While I love their videos on youtube, I haven’t sent them money, only directly to the campaign. But if true, there should be a way to warn others. Just a thought.
So this moron doesn’t believe the accusations but wants Cain to drop out since the response to the false allegations wasn’t to his liking. Are you F’n kidding me? We have the entire MSM trying to destroy Cain and a so-called Tea party guy is now helping them. Sounds like a RAT plant to me.
Last nite my wife says "if there are 3 or 4 accusers maybe there's something going on"
Says I "4 X 0 = 0"
They haven't a shread of evidence, let alone integrity, between the lot of them.
You want to see a sex scandal; look at Penn State. You want to see a media hit job; look at Herman Cain.
Unfortunately, you can't send this fool a message unless you register (give him your email). You have to "register" to see contact info, postings, etc.
One comment that was visible on the side bar was in complete disagreement with this so-called TP "leader's" call for Cain to drop out.
So, even folks on his pitiful site are letting him have it.
If you call yourself a TEA Party member and this “scandal” has got your knickers in a twist, you’ve got two choices left: Romney or Gingrich. Romney is the closest thing to a drop-in replacement for Barack Obama that Democrats could ever hope to see. Romney will take the country in the same, wrong direction that it’s been going in for the last three years. Same policies, more telegenic face. So now you’re left with Newt; who is politically closer to Herman Cain, but carries the same baggage. In fact, in his case, the “allegations” aren’t allegations; they’re facts.
So what are you going to do? Will you do as the Party elites tell you and support yet another RINO? Will you let them send another president to Washington that caves to the Democrats every time? Or will you finally kick their apple cart over?
Any time the media refers to a Tea Party “leader”, you know that the rest of the assertion is going to be meaningless.
There is no “leader”. It’s just “us”.
