I’m old fashioned enough to believe the perp should be found guilty before you start taking action against the perp’s alleged enablers. This case hasn’t even come to trial. Why the rush to oust Paterno? You DO realize booting Joe and the Prez plays right into Sandusky’s defense by prejudging his guilt? Even a rookie defense attorney could look at this action as prejudicial to his client. What were these hysterical board members thinking?

I can't disagree more with every word you wrote. Life isn't a court of law and you shouldn't confuse morality with legality. You have all the participants already admitting to salient points (a rape was witnessed, the police weren't called). It is totally irrelevant whether the guy ever gets convicted when considering how PSU should treat Paterno. They had a moral obligation to fire him immediately. Paterno was't denying he knew, if he was PSU could have been more deliberate. A trial could take years, you hink no actions should be taken until then??

Also, totally weird to assert that these firings help the defense. I don't think the DA is going mind..

Paterno and others broke the law by not reporting known suspicions/information as to child sexual abuse to the police.

It doesn’t matter if Sandusky goes scott free. Though I doubt he will.

Did you see the press conference? It is the students who are hysterical.

Penn State has been implicated in a chamber of horrors. It took three years for the grand jury to finish, and you want to wait how many more with this goblin god running the show? Do you know what kind of environment that would create in Madison, and above all Columbus, whose team was punished severely for far less? Penn State plays in those two cities
before the month is out.

To do otherwise for people like you, is to put some strange, myopic faith in this rotten justice system of ours. The question isn’t formal guilt or innocence. It is whether these events; CHILD MOLESTATION, CHILD ABUSE, occurred at Penn State in their football facilities. If so, they should be banished. Go join the rioters, or better yet, the Occupy folk, as it is pure evil and wickedness you are defending here.
