Is Rick Perry having a senile moment here?.... That was one of the most awkward moments I've ever seen in a debate.

Perry really can't think on his feet.

Unfortunately, the President NEEDS to be a great COMMUNICATOR.

It's clear that Perry ain't the one.

Obama’s presidency has lowered the bar. Kerry’s 57 states didn’t bump him out either.

Unfortunately, the media will keep giving him do overs, cause they want to keep the circus going for as log as they can... and if the clowns go home, they got nothing.

I thought it was handled well, actually.

It was funny.

Obama has made far worse gaffes.

Perry was talking about the three departments he would eliminate and when he got to the third one, well, he just ran out of...energy.

Ironically, it was the Dept. of Energy he was trying to remember.

The sad part; this stuff has zero to do with how someone can govern.

We are electing slick debaters. Almost like auditions to be actors.

Well, his wife encouraged him to run, saying she and others were seeing the “burning bush,” nobody seemed to realize it was actually a premonition of his campaign going down in flames.

Perry is a good communicator in interviews and speeches, not just this type of sound bite format.

And I thought debate 3 was bad for him.

Perry -
“I think Americans just don’t know sometimes which Mitt Romney they’re dealing with. Is it the Mitt Romney that was on the side of — against the Second Amendment before he was for the Second Amendment? Was it — was before — he was before the social programs from the standpoint of — he was for standing up for Roe versus Wade before he was against first — Roe versus Wade? Him — he was for Race to the Top. He’s for Obamacare and now he’s against it. I mean, we’ll wait until tomorrow and — and — and see which Mitt Romney we’re really talking to tonight.”

I am a trial lawyer and know when a jury is guffawing at the lawyer. He’s toast. Damn shame.

Come home to Texas, Rick. You’ve still got a job here.

So, Ricky Peron is finished again? I'm stuned, what will the hot flashing, swooning Perry lovers do now that their dream boy has committed ritual campaign suicide? Will the love postings to Ricky continue?

What will Ricardo do with the mountain of cash that so many SMUCKS gave to this POS?

Any bets he will donate and back the piece of Mitt campaign?

Sigh. Are there any declared candidates out there that aren’t damaged goods in some way?

This might be a good time for Sarah to reconsider.

I believe Rick Perry may have been under the influence of pain medication.
He has been treated for some back ailment and is taking pain meds for that, as has been reported.
His speech in Rhode Island reinforces that notion.
I voted for Perry and went to his rally with Sarah Palin.
I even suggested he would be the dark horse and take the nomination long ago.
I initially supported him and expected him to be the next president.
But knowing his weak stances on immigration, I felt he had the political acumen to walk them back and refocus as he did with Gardasil.
Instead he doubles down and insults the conservative base by calling them heartless.
That was the moment his campaign went down.
Tonight was just further evidence he does not possess sound judgment or a true conservative pedigree.
For those outside of Texas he vowed to sign a law preventing sanctuary cities in Texas. It never came to a vote. As governor, he has the authority to call a special session and have this put to a vote; unfortunately he does not have the stones to follow through.
Good riddance!

Rick Perry is excellent really, except when it comes to speaking. He’s got some issues there.

What he should have said: “I’ve been in 57 states, (with) I think one left to go.”

I am not a Perry supporter, but up to that brain lockup, I think he had done quite well tonight.
