I got Connie Francis singing on my tv during the test..
Nothing here high up in the mountains of the American Redoubt.
It makes me ill that as soon as 2012 we will hear Obama’s literal voice in a forced text and internet message of propaganda or warningwhich is both.Is Obama playing the devil in the book series Left Behind?
Our local station did not participate.....
Worked just fine on ESPN radio out of Philty
Had this been a real alert you would have been instructed to bend over and kiss your EAS goodbye.
EPIC FAIL
Heard the test.It was a clusterf**k . If this had been an actual emergency you would be sitting there scratching your head wondering what the village idiots that run this nations govt. wanted to say. Washington D.C. could screw up a one car funeral procession.
This is Lawrence. This is Lawrence, Kansas. Is there anybody there? Anybody at all?
The gym TVs were beeping while I was on the way out. Otherwise I’d have never even noticed. I like it when the world spins on without me.
Just Da-yum!
Right in the middle of a wire transfer from a new found friend in Nigeria this EAS crap screws everything up!
Barrister Nmbwahaha assures me he will try again though.
I'm gonna be rich!

Note: All times are approximate. EAS will be integrated into the Federal Emergency Management Agency's Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS) which is being rolled out now.
The Commercial Mobile Alert System (CMAS) will be another part of IPAWS. CMAS is an alerting network designed to disseminate emergency alerts to mobile devices such as cell phones and pagers. CMAS will allow federal agencies to accept and aggregate alerts from the President of the United States, the National Weather Service (NWS) and emergency operations centers, and send the alerts to participating wireless providers who may distribute the alerts to their customers via text messages. The government plans to issue three types of alerts through this system: alerts issued by the president, alerts involving imminent threats to safety of life, and Amber Alerts.
Customers will be automatically signed up to receive CMAS alerts. If they do not want to participate they may opt to block most CMAS messages, however messages issued by the president cannot be blocked under any circumstances.
I was digging a trench in my backyard the entire time.
My shovel never uttered a sound...and it’s a Craftsman shovel. Better take it back and get a new one ‘cause it’s fer sure broke.
Something I think is important to point out I have not heard or seen yet.
Many engineers or other broadcast employee was standing by the EAS unit just because this has been planned for a long time. Now, many radio and TV stations and computer controlled as are other communication entities (satellites, cable TV) that were suppose to participate. What happens when there IS a national emergency and it’s 3am and no one is standing by? That EAS better work on it own. So, now we must ask, of the ones that WORKED today, how many worked on there own merit with no outside help from a human hand? The number of successful EAS tests today probably drastically decreases.
