In his only public appearance of the day, Cain told Kimmel during the late-night interview that he got angry and disgusted as he watched Bialek and Allred. He said his wife didn't watch it but that he called her immediately afterward.

He addressed the issue head on. He addressed it strongly. He didn’t back off one bit. I am a service man who meets many people. I am outspoken and I joke. If I ran for office many women (and possibly men ) could accuse me of sexually harassment because not all jokes work and sometimes they aren’t perceived as funny.
It was written by AP. Fox just posts the AP article as is.
Maybe today, after they get a few hundred emails & Tweets, they’ll correct it themselves.
Sickening isn't it. I was not a Gingrich supporter for a number of substantive reasons, but he is standing by his friend. That counts a lot in my book. I am not going to go on endorsing Gingrich further, but I am closely watching how he supports MY candidate, and he can earn the respect I lost for him in the past.
I was worried about this news conference today, because we have see our candidates bail out before or outright cry and confess the allegations were true. But after seeing Herman last night on Kimmel, I can't wait to see him "take this head on."
IF this is totally fabricated, then it is a story as old and as vile as racism and racial discrimination itself! And it will not play well in an America that is sick to death of racism, injustice, and racial discrimination.

—We have a conservative actually fighting back.—
That is key. Women respect a “real” man. If Cain fights back, he will win those very women, and more, that may be waning in support right now.
It’s like a baseball game. We are in the second half of the second inning today. And the winner is clear only when we’ve gone through all nine innings (sometimes 11), as the Texas rangers learned in game six of this year’s world series.

Now, we didn’t have to go there...
I would say, however, that she was chosen because of her blond hair, etc, to maximize the effect that the left was trying to achieve based on their own misunderstanding of how we on the right think.
Agreed. Yet some conservatives want Cain to just quit.
Usually ones who are actively promoting other candidates.
Thanks for the link - everyone should watch this. It is one of Cain’s best interviews.

A false allegation that was investigated and found to have no merit is not exactly a “skeleton”.
I don’t see the other candidates going around pointing incidents where they offended someone or people who may have had a bone to pick with them.
The only way this would have been handled poorly, is if he were guilty. And I think some folks on FR are just convinced that he is. There are some pretty deep seated issues with some folks on FR - I can’t figure out if it’s a problem with men or if it’s a problem with race.
In any case, this white, evangelical, homeschool mom takes Cain at his word, as a brother in Christ, and can’t wait to vote for him!
If this brings Cain down, it’s game, set, match. The GOP will have proven they’re all in the same bed if they don’t stand up, especially the candidates, and condemn this smear campaign. They should demand proof. Actually, I think they should announce they won’t run unless there is absolute proof.

The Democrats? While this is their m.o., they would have waited untilhe was nominated to spring it, probably in September, October, and early November 2012 to spring it. This has Rove and Rommney written all over it.
What struck me is that she hardly seemed upset; she was smiling a lot.
