I remember the Northridge quake..like it was yesterday, didnt have power for 2 days, when the power came back on, we had all the pay channels LOL..only lasted a day but hey it was fun while it lasted. Quakes in the middle of the night are always more scary

Went through the Northridge quake as well. When I moved back to KC I remember feeling so safe sleeping at night knowing the risk of a killer quake was little at best.

I lived in Whittier for 26 years. Earthquake nearly destroyed my little town.

Northridge was at 4:30 in the morning. Books were flying out of the bookcase near my bed and the case itself was banging hard against the wall. I’ll never forget waking from a sound sleep to that.
