I realize that you are not from GA...but I am, and I happen to know both of these fine men on stage...
I hate to break it to ya...but the whole “Contract with America” thing....was not Newt’s.....Newt may lead well...but us in GA know that his best talent is finding a parade and jumping in front of it....
Now, I am not trying to bash Newt...just letting you know that Newt may not be all you think he is...
BUT BOTH of these men are better than any other candidate from either party....IMHO

The subject of fixing SS came up and again Newt went into his :”It's easy....” analogies. He says how SS was insolvent under Carter but it became solvent under Reagan merely by creating new jobs and increasing the economic growth rate.
Well that does sound like it was REALLY easy except.....Newt must have been a-sleep during a major change to SS under Reagan. Hint : It created the so called 'trust fund'.
If Perry prefers getting shot in the back, he must be a happy person this election cycle:
