Did Newt ever back-peddle or apologize for backing RINO/Dem stealth candidate Dede Scozzafava over the tea party candidate? When Scozzafava dropped out, she endorsed the Dem, who ultimately won. I am curious as to whether Newt ever acknowledged he made a mistake in endorsing such a pro-Dem/anti-tea party RINO.

The way I see this debate shaping up is that Cain needs to show folks he’s got the gravatas (sp?) to share the stage with Newt. Newt needs to show he can connect with real people in a personal way not just as a policy wonk. Should be interesting.

Not at all. Let Cain discuss what he has learned. Newt Gingrich knows DC and has a sizable advantage but Herman Cain needs this as well. America is ready for a wholesale shift in politics as usual.
