You make a good point. What amazes me, though, is the number of people who treat Mr. Cain like some pizza delivery boy. Few have ever met Mr. Cain, much less worked with him (and don’t know anyone who has). I feel certain Mr. Cain will make an excellent showing.

The media will decide to cover it ONLY IF one or the other or both totally screw up! Then it’ll be top o’ the ‘news.’ For days!
If you didn’t catch Sen. DeMint’s Labor Day forum, try to find it online. So far this year (and for several years past) it’s been the best I’ve seen. Not a debate, but each candidate appeared before a well-prepared, no-gotcha panel, with excellent questions. Each was asked the same questions and each had 20 minutes alone, no interruptions, no barking even.

Yes I noticed we have a TEA Party to blame for a debate that makes sense It would make sense if FOX News would add Tea Party analysts to their line up... fair and balanced news.

WOW all those deletes
has the debate started without Newt and Herman ???
That must be Willie Mitty and Rick acting up...

You’re sure right about Senator DeMint’s forum for the candidates! It was a class act Labor Day forum, just like the Senator himself!

Please, this is a live thread for people who want to discuss this particular debate. Please drop this particular food fight.

I think so too. Cain is the an idea man, Newt has depth like no other candidate, I think they will play off of one another. They’ve worked together before. I’m looking forward to it.

Yep, the Cain haters have totally screwed up the PR here. They are making exactly the same mistake the Palin haters did.
By recklessly and relentlessly denigrating Cain, as they did Palin, they have made it very difficult for Cain NOT to exceed expectations. On the other hand, the expectations for Newt have been so over inflated it is going to be almost impossible for him to actually meet them.

Mr. Cain met with Rep. Paul Ryan to talk about the budget and the 9-9-9 plan I'm glad to read that. Newt ticked off a lot of people when he threw Paul Ryan under the bus and called the Ryan Plan right-wing social engineering. At least he apologized, so I'll give him a point for that.
