Heads up all ye who want change from another Obama term in 2012. There’s only one man for that job: Rick Perry. Voters said so in Wisconsin.
Perry topped Obama 46% to 42% in a Rasmussen poll. Should Obama run against Mitt Romney, Obama would win 45% to 41%. Should Obama run against Herman Cain, Obama would win 47% to 41%. The poll makes a case for Perry if Americans really want to see Obama out.
The Rasmussen poll surveyed 500 Wisconsin voters by phone, not a sampling of voters nationwide. But the trendline is up for Perry and a bellwether as the GOP candidate who can ‘take it away’ next November.
The rest of the GOP field is losing its glitter. Meanwhile, Perry continues his ascent toward the top; this, amid purported poor performances at debate. What’s going on with that?

Why not ignore those who come to poke and prod? Getting in little arguments like have been on this thread — and then reading the pronouncements about Cain supporters really doesn’t endear anyone to Perry. Especially the jabs about race.

I merely admitted that I supported Cain because I knew that some might accuse me of lying about my intentions in posting on this thread. I briefly mentioned it in my first post regarding this poll to be straightforward.
I don’t think the juvenile 1-3 word posts on either side are right.
I also don’t think this thread has been “hijacked”. You can’t expect a discussion about a poll which also mentions Cain to not include any mention of him at all.
What makes me even sicker are the disgusting comments people have made ABOUT Cain supporters. Why not be the bigger person and fill people in (like you did when I mentioned the fence - which I honestly thanked you for)?
I’m not on this thread to “hijack” it. I LIVE in Wisconsin and I’m a “likely voter”, so this poll has just as much to do with my opinions, observations, and thoughts as a Wisconsin voter as it does about Rick Perry!
And, I really don’t appreciate all the digs leveled at Cain supporters... Frankly, I’m deeply offended by some of them. ESPECIALLY when you just called me a “Mexican-hater”. It’s not amusing in the least. Do you expect ANY Cain supporters to come into your camp IF he isn’t the nominee? It doesn’t sound like we’d be very welcome judging from some of the comments here. I guess you all figure you can do without any of our support, eh?
It’s also NOT a good idea to start calling folks here at FR racists for wanting stricter immigration laws, and penalties for those who make the lives of illegal immigrants (from any country) easier! THAT is a talking point STRAIGHT out of the liberal playbook, which was also hijacked by the “Elite” “Establishment” GOPers who tried to push through Amnesty and called anyone against it racists! NONE of us have forgotten that insult. But, if you’d really like for us to associate Perry with the likes of Lindsay Graham and McCain, then by all means do and say what you want, I’m not going to try to stop you...

Cain’s record of common sense solutions to complex problems are delineated in his biography.
This man is an honest to goodness rocket scientist, who went to the private sector and turned around failing companies when no one else could.
Not to be content with that, he took over an additional failing business and made it so successful that the then bought the company.
He made himself a multimillionaire in a climate where someone with his background didn’t normally succeed.
Perry, not hardly, a political hack from the beginning. Oh, yes he flew planes. Well so did I, I’m not impressed.
You lied about E-verify, repeatedly, last night.

Rick Perry is getting killed at the polls because he cannot think on his feet. The ONLY candidate attacking Obama is Newt. He isn’t anywhere near this smear that was put on Cain.
BTW, I like Wi, I have family there and I like the place.

Well, you be honest.
I said from the first that the charges the women made were probably inconsequential.
But the women did say something. They said something about Cain that was at least serious enough to be given a year’s pay and asked to leave or else left of their own accord.
I mean, there is a record of all that and it isn’t anonymous... it just isn’t available to you now.
I do not blame the women at this point in their lives for not subjecting themselves to the abuse and possible danger they would face by exposing themselves. Some of them may have cats.
I never said Newt was involved, and the charges against cain were out there already. They were put into record in the early 90s.
Cains attempt to smear Perry is IMHO sleazy.
If Perry was behind the leak, Cain still OWNS IT
