WASHINGTONA third former employee says she considered filing a workplace complaint over what she considered aggressive and unwanted behaviour by Republican candidate Herman Cain when she worked for the presidential candidate in the 1990s. She says the behaviour included a private invitation to his corporate apartment.
She worked for the National Restaurant Association when he was its head. She told the Associated Press that Cain made sexually suggestive remarks or gestures about the same time that two co-workers had settled separate harassment complaints against him.
The employee described situations in which she said Cain told her he had confided to colleagues how attractive she was and invited her to his corporate apartment outside work. She spoke on condition of anonymity, saying she feared retaliation.
Cains campaign declined to comment.

Remember .... Obama also said he wouldn't run. Multiple times.
This is all a lot of dust being flung to cloud up Cain's wholesome, moral record. Obviously they have nothing really serious to use to detract from his honorable character, so they are trying to create chaos and keep him off balance and off the important issues.
The problem I have are these words ANONYMOUS and INAPPROPRIATE.
I like to put a face on these people who are accusing Herman Cain of doing something inappropriate.
While were at it, lets get to specifics, EXACTLY what did he do that was inappropriate?
Let’s see EXACTLY what he did before we can determine whether or not it was inappropriate...
All we have now are murky accusations, thats all.
Do you have absolute proof this came from Perry? do you have absolute proof nothing happened? or are you speculating? nothing makes the democrats happier than watching the republicans eat their own.
I view it differently. I think we’re seeing, finally, the utter rejection of the demrat pols (including Perry and Romney) and their politics of personal destruction tactics.
But this is not only about Cain. It is about us, too. We must stand up for this man. The way to do that is to send him money. Just sent him $25. Wish it could have been more. In any case, every time Perry, Romney and their demrat controller scum invent a new scandal I’m sending Cain more money.
We are in a final fight for the soul of our country. Anybody that doesn’t get that gets nothing. If you can do nothing else send Mr. Cain money—now. You can make a difference.
That’s the ticket. Send him more money. If we all do it eventually these sub humans may get it. Invent a Cain scandal more money to Cain.
There is no truth in saying an individual cannot make a difference. You can send money. Thousands of individual donations will add up. It’s time to commit folks. No holding back if you really care about your country. There is no one else to do it. The ball is in your court.
IIRC For something to be considered sexual harassment, an “offer” such as “you wanna come to my private mansion and get freaky”? Has to be declined and told to stop, if it stops, no harm done, if it continues then it is sexual harassment. I could care less if he asked her to his private residence, if she said no, don’t ask me again and it stopped, there is no big deal, hypothetically. These reports are false anyway, and everyone sees through this as a terribly planned and executed fake hit piece.
AS THE FOOL CARRIES ON!
“I hope the bad things in life happen to you, and only you. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go put some water in Buck Nasty’s mama’s dish.”
“Cant wait the video of Perry in the steam-room with the three transgendered Inuit dwarves hits YouTube!”
Tomorrow’s headline:
*SECOND* TRANSGENDERED INUIT DWARF COMES FORWARD WITH PERRY STEAM-ROOM SCANDAL!
Perry’s only comment: “Hey! At least MY transgendered inuit dwarf was American, unlike Mitt Romney’s illegal transgendered inuit dwarf!”
Good grief, do we really have another YEAR (+) OF THIS?!
Considered? This is what we’re supposed to believe as genuine??
I considered driving into my obnoxious neighbor’s front window this morning. Doesn’t mean I did it.
Why do you say that when it has been established that the same people connected to Perry are connected to Rove and Romney has even more connections to NRA?
Oh, I forgot! Cain has decided it was Perry because of an "insensitive" word written on a rock!Cain has made some stupid accusations himself, IMO!
Disprooving a negative is difficult to impossible. The more apt question is can anyone prove any kind of harrassment or inappropriate behavior occured. So far there has been no credible proof.
All we have is some woman making an allegation that something untoward occured. But she won’t elaborate on it nor will she provide the statement (there undoubtedly was one) she signed saying that in taking the money she would never bring this issue to court again nor would she discuss it with anyone. She has violated the terms of the agreement.
Now let’s go to the allegation itself—as I understand it. She claims Cain invited her to his corporate apartment, but did not go. The implication is that Cain would be alone there. But so far there is no proof of that. Could it just be his wife, or other staff, would have been there as well? Again, no info.
Now lets look at the “witnesses” to the alleged bad behavior. The accuser. She has provided no proof anything untoward occured. Then we have the lovely Mr. Chris Wilson. A pollster who worked directly for Karl Rove. He was Bush IIs campaign manager. He’s also been a Cain critic. He shills for Perry and Romney. Then we have a gaggle of unnamed witnesses who will say nothing publicly or in court. They, if they exist, only claim that something happened.
It seems the underpinning for the allegation are alleged comments by Cain to one or more uncredible or invisible people that the accuser was a beautiful woman. If I’m with my wife and see a beautiful woman I say “what a beautiful woman”. I have said the same thing to males and females who worked with me over the years.
I’ve also been accused of age, gender and race discrimination. Unproved because it never happened. It’s always a good idea to have your own witness when negatively counseling any employee—especially the opposite sex. To make the woman go away they paid her off. There were two provisos: 1. She retire immediately. 2. She would not sue the government again about her allegations.
If I were to run for elective office there is nothing stopping this woman from doing to me what Cain’s accuser is doing to him. Sadly Cain’s accuser will never be taken to task for violating her pledge.
Surely you’re on to the politics of personal destruction tactic by now. They tried this with Justice Thomas. To his credit he stayed the course. They did it with Palin, too. Always vague allegations by invisible people.
Surely you would be angry if someone tried to ruin your life on anything as weak as this smear campaign. I’m angry and I’m doing the ony thing I can do—sending money to Cain. And every time the b******* come up with a new smear I’m sending Cain more money.
I been asked out by co-workers in the past, never thought of it as harassment.
What this lady is really accusing Cain of, is being attempting adultery with her and fraternization. However she said “no”, and that was the end of it, not sure why she thinks she has a story.
I love that picture of her taking foot long hot-dog with both hands.
Can someone post that?
Your argument is a bit off. If a woman DID accept his invitation, maybe she’s just keeping her mouth shut. Maybe she’s married too and has too much to lose. And, some women are actually good at discretion...
I believe the NRA should wave the confidentiality clause and allow the woman or women and any witnesses to come forth and put this mess to rest. The American people will be able to decide what to believe...I detest the annonymous junk and feel it should all be brought out in the open. Also, there should be absolute proof that Perry leaked this and that should be made public.
Cain needs to bring up the Larry Sinclair homo links to Obama in the debate next Tuesday.
Not a kielbasa, for sure...
