New charges have recently been filed against the University on counts of illegal discrimination against its Muslim and female students. The allegations are being reviewed by the District of Colombia Office of Human Rights (OHR), which has the strictest discrimination laws in the country. President John H. Garvey and the University is being urged to respond to the charges.
John F. Banzhaf III, the George Washington University Professor of Public Interest Law who initiated the legal controversy surrounding same-sex residence halls, is also the one behind these new charges.
The official allegations claim that CUA, does not provide space as other universities do for the many daily prayers Muslim students must make, forcing them instead to find temporarily empty classrooms where they are often surrounded by Catholic symbols which are incongruous to their religion, according to a press release on PRLOG.com.

"The mosques are our barracks, the domes our helmets,
the minarets our bayonets and the faithful our soldiers."
Infidels: freepmail me if you want on or off this list.
we’ll quit when Muslim countries allow Catholics to pratice their faith....
Since when is Georgetown a Catholic college?? To use it as an example of a Catholic college is laughable. They cater to anyone dissing the 10 commandments, or anything “Catholic”.
I’m sure that their mosques and cultural centers provide prayer rooms for christians and Jews......right? NO? I’ll be damned.
The university should threaten to move out of town, taking all the faculty and staff jobs with them.
Well, Georgetown is a Catholic university, it’s run by the Jesuits, in fact it’s the oldest Catholic university in the country, but the article isn’t about Georgetown, it’s about Catholic University of America.
The new general counsel for the university was the lead Guantanamo prosecutor at the time he retired from Army active duty. Decades ago he worked for the Catholic League For Religious and Civil Rights. It will be interesting to see what his boss wants to do with this situation. He would be a real pit bull if his master unleashes him. Clever as heck, too.
Yep.
When I went to Catholic U for undergrad, there were no muslims. The student body is small, so you know everyone basically. I do not know why muslims would want to go there. This is just a manufactured controversy.
You must have missed the flap that has ensued since the new President of the university eliminated co-ed dorms. He's re-Catholicizing the place. The press and the "free-speech" professoriat are furious at the idea that Catholics somewhere might be allowed to be Catholic.
This article is about Catholic University of America, not Georgetown.
CUA’s been in the news lately for getting rid of co-ed dormitories. Banzhaf’s suing them about that, too. He’s a piece of work, that Banzhaf...look him up to see what havoc he’s been wreaking over the last 25 years.

President Garvey Appoints New General Counsel
Catholic University President John Garvey has appointed Lawrence J. Morris as the Universitys new general counsel.
Morris will manage the Universitys responses to litigation and other legal proceedings. He will provide legal guidance on matters related to Catholic Universitys operations and serve as the principal legal adviser to the Board of Trustees and the executive officers of the University. Morris begins work Aug. 11.
I am delighted to welcome Lawrence Morris as our new general counsel, says President Garvey. The depth and breadth of his legal experience as a courtroom attorney who has worked on both sides of the aisle, as an executive general counsel with extensive law office management expertise, as a senior legal adviser, and as a law professor should serve the University exceptionally well in the years to come.
Morris has more than 29 years experience as a U.S. Army and civilian attorney. Morris provided legal, ethics, and policy advice; litigated more than 100 cases; and reviewed legal investigations in the U.S. and overseas.
Just prior to his appointment at Catholic University, Morris was the civilian chief of advocacy for U.S. Army Headquarters, where he oversaw the quality of advocacy training of 600 Army prosecutors and defense counsel.
Previously, as an active duty Army colonel, Morris served as chief prosecutor for the Office of Military Commissions, litigating cases of suspected terrorists detained in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
In 2007, Morris was a founding co-executive director of the multinational Law and Order Task Force in Baghdad, Iraq, where he helped that nation improve its legal system, particularly criminal investigative and judicial practices. Morris received a Bronze Star for his work there.
Morris military experience includes a university context. He was general counsel of the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, N.Y. and professor and chairman of the Criminal Law Department of the U.S. Army Judge Advocate Generals School in Charlottesville, Va., which provides accredited graduate legal education to military and civilian attorneys of the armed services.
In addition, Morris has served as adjunct professor at Catholic Universitys Columbus School of Law and other area law schools.
Morris holds an M.S. in national strategy from the National Defense University, an LL.M. from the Judge Advocate Generals School, and a J.D. and B.A. from Marquette University.
He is author of Military Justice: A Guide to the Issues, published by McGraw-Hill in 2010, and more than a dozen articles and training publications used by U.S. military prosecutors and defenders around the world.
Well duh. I’d be surprised if they didn’t discriminate against Muslims. That’s like criticizing a Baptist college for discriminating against Satanists.
Muslims need to attend their own God-forsaken schools and stop trying to infiltrate ours.
If this goes through, we no longer have a country where it’s safe to practice your religion in peace. Almost time to go underground.
How about this....The university tell’s them to get their bony ass’s out and return this years tuition. End of problem...

New charges have recently been filed against the King Saud University in Riyadh on counts of illegal discrimination against its Catholic and female students. The allegations are being reviewed by the District of Riyadh Office of InHuman Rights (IHR), which has the strictest discrimination laws in the country. President Jobysi H. Garvianablastadid and the University is being urged to respond to the charges before the Kindom falls.
Jooaneiasiolap F. Banzhafanijonsadir XXX, the King Saud University Professor of Publicity Interest Law who initiated the legal controversy surrounding non-Catholic residence halls, is also the one behind these new charges.
The official allegations claim that KSU, does not provide space as other universities do for the many daily prayers Catholic students must make, such as Matins, Vespers etc., forcing them instead to find
temporarily empty classrooms where they are often surrounded by Muslim symbols and picture of goats, camels and muslim men in 72 sexual positions which are incongruous to their religion, according
to a press release on Islamcamelloveblog.
Don’t the victorious build over existing conquered sites of significance? Hope these actions are premature.
The good professor needs to lose his job. All muslimes need to be deported immediately. We won’t, therefore the U.S. is doomed. The only good part about the muslimes taking over the U.S. is that they will slaughter all liberals.
