Hasty U.S. pullout will destabilize the Middle East
The White House announced the pullout from Iraq by the end of the year on a note of triumph. Obama adviser James Kvaal claimed that was “an example of what happens when a leader sets a plan and sees it through.” West Wing machismo was on full display, trumpeting, “President Obama has ended the war in Iraq.” Mr. Obama said the withdrawal was taking place “as promised,” but the pullout timeline evolved as did the president’s responsibility for the aftermath.
During the 2008 campaign, Mr. Obama proposed a withdrawal timeline with all troops out by the summer of 2010. “As I’ve said many times, we must be as careful getting out of Iraq as we were careless getting in,” he wrote in the New York Times. “We can safely redeploy our combat brigades at a pace that would remove them in 16 months. That would be the summer of 2010 - two years from now, and more than seven years after the war began.” That promised timeline went by the wayside, and the plan Mr. Obama wound up executing was not his own but George W. Bush‘s. The end-of-2011 withdrawal deadline was established in the Status of Forces Agreement agreed to by America and Iraq in November 2008, before Mr. Obama took office.
The Obama administration tried to extend the U.S. commitment beyond the deadline. The White House pressed Baghdad to allow about 6,000 American troops to stay in the country for training,..

IMO the “war” in Iraq was over before Obama came on the scene. Just mopping up, training and being an active buffer against Iran/Syria adventurers.

All the sacrifices of our troops are nothing to Obama. He’s willing to throw it all away. It was for nothing. Iraq as an Iranian puppet will be a lot worse than Saddam ever was.

Afraid you’re right brother! Those busturds have been killing each other over religious differences damn near since the beginning of time. They will roll over to Iran and become another Islamic State in short order after our departure. But that was going to happen whenever we departed. And we will some day have to approach this Islamist situation the way we should have in the first place. Either them or us! There is no way Western culture will ever be able to live in harmony with these people.

Actually, the Sunnis and Shia have only be fighting since the 7th Century, More recently, the present frontier between Iraq and Iran is generally the same as the border between the Ottoman Turks and the Persians and that was set in the 16th century.

Oh, I believe in revelation, and I think, so do many who speculate about multi-verses. Descartes, I gather, thought he had an inspiration that was divine. Summed up by his Cogito, ergo sum. Most moderns, however, don’t know really have a theory about the source of such intuitions. But they sure are not afraid to run with them, even though the idea is hardly new: I think Bruno was burnt for clinging to the notion.
I doubt that will happen. The Iraqi mullahs thinks of the Iranians as par venues. But it might become a satellite/ally.

All he's doing now is making his final gift of the country to the enemy.
These valleys weren't won by the Tallies - the OWN simply pulled out troops out - without taking the missiles, rockets, bullets etc - (I can tell you that this was a great blow to the troops)
