The McRib, the pork sandwich that likes to play hard to get, is coming back.

McDonald's plans to announce Monday that the sandwich, usually available only when individual restaurants feel like making it, will be sold at all U.S. locations through Nov. 14.

They need to offer a 4 oz hardwood smoked bacon only sandwich.

Processed pork.

Tastes like something from Arby's.

I heard that the development of, and later deep-freezing of, the McRib was part of McDonalds’ Cold War efforts to develop a fast-food ‘meat’ product capable of surviving a nuclear holocaust...

It would be inhumane not to feed the cockroaches!

The McRib first came out in the winter of my 7th or 8th grade year. It was during wrestling season, and I had been starving myself for about two months to maintain my weight class. Right after the last match before the Christmas/New Year's Holiday when I wouldn't have to weigh in for a couple weeks, my dad took me to McDonald's and I ordered one of the 'new' McRibs.

It was one of the best tasting things I'd ever eaten, and whenever they are sold, I'll always order one and recall being in the car with my dad on that bleak winter night, digging into that thing on the way home...I don't care if they're made out of rat meat. I taste nostalgia in every bite.

Hey, I’ll order a couple and dress them up with some Chipotle Tabasco. I like them.

(Oh, crap! I forgot. I’m not supposed to admit liking anything common. How “elite incorrect” of me!)

Maybe the wife and I eat ‘low’ on the food chain, but we always enjoy them. We even raise pork and grill often at home. We are outliers on the curve I guess.

Now we’re talking! Bacon isn’t that much, they must make a very large % makeup on “bacon” sandwhiches that have a total of 1 1/2 strips of bacon on them. Bacon might be a little more then beef but I’m confident they could still make an reasonabley priced sandwhich.

And Foie Gras is nothing but fatted goose liver, where they force the goose to eat corn in a sick an disgusting way... but its considered a delicacy.

Frankly, between the two options, I’ll take the overly processed meat patty.

Oh, and I like the freaking McRib! It tastes good, I know it is all held together with fat, salt, and whatever freaky process, I don’t care. MCRIB FTW!

The McRib is the nastiest thing at McDonald’s. The one thing I liked at McDonald’s was the McSkillet Burrito and they got rid of it. Ugh!

Yep, 2am, needin some belly fill...my favorite is the mystery meat quarter pounder that's not and some card board fries.

Speakin of the fries, you can lay one out, come back a decade later and it'll look just like it did the day ya layed it out there.

Bomb shelter sustenance.

I like that its shaped as if it has bones.

Like plastic pine boughs on top of aluminum cellphone towers, it fools me into thinking that it's natural!
