cpdiii tore up the grill real good.

I sent a jar of Sadie’s too. During balloon fiesta this year Mrs. Slim and I had dinner at Sadie’s with martin_fierro and his wife. (they were touristing).

Once again we had very successful TexasCowboy Memorial Shoot. And as in years past ElRoy smiled down upon us and sent beautiful weather.
It really was wonderful seeing all our FRiends and meeting a few new ones.
I would like to extend a very big thank you to mylife, for the range use, setting up the reservations at the Cotton Gin & helping with the potato salad; NYTexan for being an excellent and gracious host & maker of awesome margaritas; laurenmarlowe, LuvW, MsBehavin and Allegra for making all kinds of yummy food; cpdiii for preparing a very tasty lunch; Tijeras_Slim for sending his annual salsa; and Stevie_d & Ester for bringing the canopy and the hammock.
I am already looking forward to the next shoot
The balloon fest at this time of year in the desert SW is a hoot.
I still give my vote to Garcias.

I’m leaning toward DCS for next year. I need to have a talk with Mr. Schwenke next time I am down there. Although it will be a bit warm I am also leaning toward end of May beginning of June, that way TheGirl will be out of school and might be able to attend.
I have had a grand time at all the shoots, but I liked the laid back atmosphere of DCS and old man Schwenke was a hoot.
$10, fill out the forms and don’t shoot my livestock LoL.
I felt right at home.
BTW, I swung back to the range today to retrieve the TCMS signs (Got em), and was bummed to see signs in Seagoville advertising, buy one horse get one free 5-$600.
Folks cant afford to feed them in this drought.

I was in a Texas Medical Association meeting, learning about the death of Medicare.
But, then, drove up to meet Larry in Grapevine (so close and yet so far away!) Saturday night. We went up to Bells, Tx to see my Daddy, who had a stroke on Sept 9, this year. He’s doing so much better, talking and using his right hand a bit more!
