NOT A HATE CRIME!
IT IS A HATE CRIME! Let's start saying truth and not what the media says.

OK maybe it's me but would I be walking alone at anytime on a street or avenue or whatever called "Forbidden Drive"?
It is a bridle trail that thousands of people walk bike jog and ride horses on and fish along the banks of the creek that it parallels
I jogged there for years --A beautiful trail through Philadelphia's Wissahicon park area
NEVER any problems etc since it a remote area that can only be accessed by cars at several points unless you are willing to walk over a mile

The 84 year old man was hit totally by surprise from behind in a most cowardly way.
Wondering how a gun would have prevented such a cowardly surprise attack from behind on a person of such advanced years, and who would have the gun today?
I’m all for concealed carry, but I’m also for being alert to ones surroundings when outside one’s abode.
Being alert is at least half the battle.

Ruger iz da octogenarians fren, cabron! Agreed. And let me say, the Kel-Tec P3AT is their friend, too.
Load either of these fine weapons with some Cor-Bon Critical Defense, and with some divine providence, a decent amount of situational awareness, and good aim, these thugs will no longer be a problem for society.

Yep, nice little package. I have larger carry 9’s, but they were still to big to carry comfortably daily. This one fit the bill.
Now, if I could figure out how to carry the AR daily...

I bought the ArmaLaser for mine. No need to push a button to operate.
I use Federal Hydra Shoks.

Cute weapon but you wouldn’t need a laser at that range. I carry one of two 9mm personally. But after the first shot those ghetto scumbags would run.

Are these attacks taking place all over Philadelphia or only in certain neighborhoods? I'm wondering if the area around the major downtown hotels, Independence Hall, etc., is reasonably safe to walk around in daytime. Have any of these racially-motivated attacks taken place downtown?
I'm considering attending a convention at the downtown Marriott in January and wondering if I'm likely to run into this sort of thing if I try to walk to nearby tourist sites. Or is this mainly a warm-weather phenomenon?

AN 84-YEAR-OLD ex-university official savagely attacked by four young punks during a walk in Wissahickon Valley Park earlier this week theorizes that the beating he endured was a cruel game of "get the old geezer." I think there's a word missing there.

I was just looking at one of those LCPs the other day.
The laser is a nice touch.

An even better game would have been old geezer with a gun Problem with that is, he was operating in "condition white" (oblivious of surroundings). His first indication of attack was when he was hit.
When armed, you need to operate in "condition yellow" (relaxed alertness), especially when in "Indian Country", otherwise being armed is useless. You need to maintain awareness of potential threats in all directions.

A “Geezer” I know works for the parking garages in my town getting the cash bags. Two punks on Roller Blades tried to take a bag from him. He knocked one out with one punch and the other fled. He was a star lineman for our High School football team in his day.
...and one hell of a bartender.....still!
