I like Cain, but I thought Newt was impressive.

Perry had a couple of good moments but he still has a ways to go....I don’t think he won the debate. But he improved himself over the last two debates....Bachmann did well also. I say Cain is still on top.

This was Perry's best debate performance thus far.
He wasn't perfect, but he did get underneath Willard's skin and that was worth the price of admission.
Cain continued his strategy of being stuck on 999.
Good job, Gov Perry.

Perry looked at best, mean spirited, but mostly just dumb.
Debating is not his strong suit.

While it was Perry's best debate, he didn't win anything, not by a long shot. If Romney were competent, he would have really went to work on Perry's past.
And I don't think people were too impressed that we have to wait on Perry yet again to release another plan well after the debate is over. I'd take Anita Perry over Rick Perry at this point.

Perry was pretty awful, but better than last time I suppose.

Really??? I thought Rick came off as dishonest (his attack on Mitt about the illegal aliens was intellectually dishonest since he did not hire them directly and fired the lawn company as soon as he found out that they had hired illegal aliens). Rick Perry came off as petty. His response on the economy is still a one-note song, domestic energy production--good as far as it goes, but insufficient as a complete answer.
Truth is, Perry got booed more than I have ever seen any candidate in any debate and he deserved it. I predict he is going to continue to drop precipitously.
Sorry, because I had great hopes for him, but he would be absolutely eviscerated by Obama in any debate. He is not up to the challenge.

He’s so bad, I’m actually sorry he’s so bad. There is much to admire in his life and career, but as a presidential candidate — he’s really bad.
Give it up, Perry supporters. He cannot deliver the goods. Face it, get over it, move on.

Romney laughed and denied, but the story has been out there since 2007 or thereabouts. Romney lost his cool, for the second time. Perry scored another direct hit, and Mitt turned red again. The ice man melted. I just watched that highlight and I thought Perry got decimated in that exchange. And I'm not rooting for any of them. Land of the Misfit Candidates. But I thought Romney crushed Perry on that one.

The winner in tonight’s debate was CNN for setting up a bickering contest with little substance. At one point I thought Perry & Mittens were gonna kiss and makeup.
I worry for the nation if these are the best candidates the GOP can offer...

Funny, I thought Rick Perry looked his worst this evening...esp with the illegal alien rehash from the last election. He looked pale and perplexed

I agree. Perry rocked tonight. Newt was second and then Bachmann. Cain looked a little shaken at times, other than we he and Romney had that ridiculous little mutual admiration society thing goin on...

Perry still having too many deer-in-the-headlight moments, and neither he nor Romney did themselves any favors by being so in-your-face sounding as if they wanted to take it out to the parking lot to settle it. Cain and Newt came off as the most statesmen-like.

You need to buy a new Kenmore, with and extended spin cycle if you think anyone will believe this BS. The so called CNN experts said he did not mess up as much as normal . LOL, did not mess up as much as normal, that means low expectations were rewarded. Bachmann kicked his rear on the cost of a border fence and how much illegals are stealing each year, he Did not stop the slide down the pole.

Rick looked petty and all around pathetic.
Down goes the SS Rickster.
Romney won the debate, but Cain held his own.
