a liberal President and Congress can increase any federal tax at any time. By their own admission, they’ve done it time and time again with the income tax.

Cain would be better to rename it just “9”, not “9-9-9”.

I cannot believe all these people attacking the plan without knowing how it works. They are so disingenuous it is silly.

Not they are patronizing him by saying “we give him credit”... They are all breaking the 11th Commandment.

Not a good move on Perry’s part at all. It was condensending. Newt cleaning up the mess right now and coming to Cain defense.

Off-center.... Mitt at the center, with Perry on one side and Cain on the other.

Good for Newt—he’s not joining the pile-on against Cain.

Perry will now have to write “I respect Mr. Cain for his politics” on a rock.

ROUND 1: ============================
CNN directs attacks against Mr. Cain:

Michele Bachmann - Attacks Cain on 999. whines she has
her own plan. yada yada. Given two chances to attack
Mr. Cain.

Herman Cain - Eloquent and clear defense of 999 plan.

Rick Santorum - Jumps on Cain. yada yada.
Makes a false statement corrected by Mr. Cain.

Rick Perry - “NH not interested in sales tax”. Again
alludes to a future plan (second time, in second debate).
[corrected by Mr. Cain who elucidates
RINO Perry’s limited thinking]

Ron Paul (CNN moderator again stokes the anger
against Mr.Cain) Ron Paul eagerly takes the bait
though a bit incoherently.

Mitt Romney - “Simpler is better” (asks Mr. Cain a
question and comes off stupid like RINO Perry.
Again, Perry and Romney have been prepped by Obama
and Rove. Romney takes it off-topic and boasts
about himself. [Romney ignores his economic failures
and so will CNN.]

Newt Gingrich - Points out 999 will be a ‘hard sell’
and complements Herman Cain.
THE CROWD GOES WILD.

Perry’s plan comes out Oct. 25th. Obviously, he’s putting a lot of thought into it - I think that’s a good idea.

Cain in leading in the polls - naturally he is the target, just like Perry was. We’ll see how he takes the heat.

Is Romney suggesting the President can do anything at all about state-level sales taxes? LOL. A former governor should know better....

I was watching that Meet the Press at a friend’s house. She’s a lifelong Democrat that can’t stand Obama and didn’t vote for him. MANY times during Meet the Press we both said things like, “Wow that makes a LOT of sense” and “EXACTLY”.

LOL. Question to Newt, “You said Cain’s 999 plan would be a hard sell. Why do you say that?”

Newt “Well, you just saw it!...”

Perry screwed up on the “talkin down to the black guy” smack. Big time.

No he did not talk down to Cain, "brother "was a sign of respect.

Gingrich is speaking, and the other candidate are listening - their bodies are turned toward Newt and they are listening. When the other candidates speak, usually the only one who turns to listen is ROmeny. . . . . newt has their attention.
