Las Vegas, Nevada One day before a CNN Western Republican presidential debate, a new national survey indicates that Mitt Romney and Herman Cain are essentially tied for the lead in the race for the GOP nomination, with Rick Perry dropping to a distant third.
.....According to the poll [CNN/ORC International Poll], only one third of Republicans and independents who lean towards the GOP say they will definitely support the candidate they are currently backing, with two thirds saying they may change their minds.
"With only 33% of all Republicans saying that their minds are made up, it's far too early to say the race is over, or even that is has boiled down to a mano-a-mano fight between Romney and Cain," says Holland.
The survey indicates that most Republicans say they are satisfied with the field of GOP candidates still in the race, although only one in five describe themselves as very satisfied. Republicans who back the tea party are more satisfied with the field of candidates than Republicans who are neutral toward the tea party.

People are merely appreciating the irony that one of the primary attack lines of the Perry camp is coming back to bite them on the butt now.
You Perry-bots cannot have it both ways. You either have to now admit your campaigning tactics for the last month were completely stupid or now demand Perry get out of the race to avoid being “Romney's spoiler’.
No we need someone who has a governing record to judge him with not a motivational smooth speaker like Cain who only throws the red meat bumper sticker rhetoric. By the way Cain is a failed politician, he ran for elected office and failed to get elected and now he wants the most important job in the world and wants people to vote for him based on his TALKING record and that he ran a Pizza company.
Doing everything you can to try and steer the nomination to Romney. We're not going to allow that. Not this time.
Aren’t y’all the ones who say pay no attention to polls?
I guess when you like them, it’s okay.
Cain may win the nomination. If he does, I will support him against Obama.
You probably aren’t willing to say the same about Perry.
Let’s hear it.

“I dont think hes a staunch conservative because hes changed his position on too many things over the years. The other thing is, if you just look at Romneycare in Massachusetts, no matter how much he tries to pretend that it was supposed to be good for Massachusetts, a conservative would never have signed that Romneycare legislation in Massachusetts.”
It's pretty simple Rove, post some of the smacks Cain has thrown Romney's way. You might just convince me he's for real.
For your reading pleasure:
Gov Rick Perry spoke to LaRaza about the drug cartels, shared responsibility of border security and that it is Washington's responsibility to secure the border -- that the Federal government should support the military, deliver the mail and secure the border -- and they aren't doing their job. [HE RECEIVED a lot of applause] He spoke of the money Texas spends securing the border, that it must be sealed and then we can sustain legitimate commerce...He told about protecting the sanctity of the vote and strengthening our shared values, family, faith hard work -- they are TEXAS values and we should unite as citizen's of one Nation under God and concentrate on what unites us. He told his Cuervo joke and they found it funny unlike the Liberal Latino Leaders Give Perry Lukewarm Response (or more likely they'd heard it before)

CAIR Disappointed with Rick Perry, and Thats a Good Thing ..Unfortunately, as I described in Perry is not the 5th column candidate this weekend at Pajamas Media, some took the bait. A few writers unleashed hell on Perry, probably not realizing that the governors relationship with the Ismailis could be used to further alienate and minimize CAIR, ISNA, and other Muslim Brotherhood-linked unindicted coconspirators in Americans largest terrorism financing trial. I argued that this lack of connectivity to groups that promote political Islam and Shariah was a smart move on Perrys part:
Amil Imani: Governor Perry's Islam Connection Being a lifelong critic of Islam, red flags popped up in my head at Perry's purported cozy relationship with Islam and prompted me to look very closely at the governor's record on this particular issue and at this specific time...... .No matter how I tried, I couldn't reach the conclusion that this inclusion promotes Islam or is pro-Sharia. It seems that the mere fact that Islam is included in the curriculum represents supporting it. And with regard to the concern that the education curriculum Perry promoted is pro-Arab and against Israel, the evidence is exactly the opposite. The lesson on Israel reads: ..
David Stein: Debunking the Rick Perry Pro-Shraria School Curriculum Myth .Salon.com recently pulled a neat little trick, one that is currently paying great dividends The liberal mega-site recently ran a piece that essentially accuses Governor Rick Perry of being a pro-Sharia candidate (complete with a ridiculously crude photoshopped image of Perry standing next to a Muslim crescent). Of course, the title of the piece, Rick Perry: The Pro-Sharia Candidate? ends with a question mark. Ha ha! Its not an accusation its just a question! Arent we clever, Salon.com. .

Gov Perry's stand against amnesty is summed up pretty well by Marco Rubio:
November 2009: Rubio: Reagan erred in supporting 1986 amnesty for illegal immigrantsIf you grant amnesty, the message that youre sending is that if you come in this country and stay here long enough, we will let you stay. And no one will ever come through the legal process if you do that.
Rubio said the U.S. must first get control of its borders and its visa system, which often allows people to enter legally but remain after their visas expire.
Only after you deal with illegal immigration in a serious way seal the border and the visa problem can you then create a legal immigration system that works. That still leaves you with 11 million people that are here illegally, Rubio said.
While criticizing amnesty for those illegals, he also rejected the idea of a massive police-state roundup. He suggested requiring tamper-proof residency and guest-worker cards and fining employers who dont verify that their workers are legal. That, Rubio said, would bring the 11 million figure down dramatically by attrition.
Asked later about about Reagans support for amnesty, Rubio said, I think he did it for the right reasons, but I think it ended up working the wrong way.
Rubios no-amnesty stance on illegal immigrants has drawn some criticism from immigration hard-liners who say Rubio didnt advance the issue when he was House speaker and the collapse of federal immigration reform efforts led state legislators around the U.S. to propose a variety of state-level immigration measures."......
Yeah, but Cain is serious. Perry is only serious about border security at election time.
The rest of your post is a pack of lies, typical of a desperate Perrybot.
Face it, CW, those paychecks aren't going to continue as long as you originally thought.
Unless Texas changed its flag, you’re listed as a resident of Costa Rica. I can sympathize with any other poster that would take issue with you misrepresenting your locale. If you don’t wish to receive state messages, remove yourself, don’t list a false locale or that raises questions to your credibility.
An a year after the 2012 election you will be here blaming everyone else, but yourself, for why NOTHING had changed in DC.
Others have posted them before. I don’t care enough to bother with you.
Johnnie, wasn’t it you who was debunking this claptrap about Cain never attacking Romney with a bunch of links?
Right! I'm still waiting on that first check.
Personally, I now could care less about him. He is done. What keeps regurgitating this Perry call-to-mention mania are futile continual postings by those list above - everything from "How Perry is really a border control Guy" to "How Herman Cain is going to give the election to Obama"...... many, many times a day.....Post, Run, Find another stretched Topic, Post again, run again, find another blah blah blah.... I swear, some of you must be paid Perry campaign staff, because you have to be doing something to earn your money and most of your time seems to be spent here....
More Cain bashing, albeit subtle.
You Perry supporters were the ones who thought these gutter level ad homine political smear job threads were such great tactics.
Wiser heads warned you from the start, don't make this about personalities. Tell us why to vote FOR your choice do not just slime everyone eles's choice.
You have no one but yourselves to blame for what you are now reaping.
You love me, you really love me.
I am so flattered that so many people chose to look me up.
I explained my listing which has now been changed. I invite those who are so very interested in me (thanks very much, I ‘ll be here all week) to go to my home page where I have now posted my history.
And dammmmit, I’m now getting those stupid Texas posts again.
Yes MNJohnnie -- take your advice and use it yourself.
