Las Vegas, Nevada One day before a CNN Western Republican presidential debate, a new national survey indicates that Mitt Romney and Herman Cain are essentially tied for the lead in the race for the GOP nomination, with Rick Perry dropping to a distant third.
.....According to the poll [CNN/ORC International Poll], only one third of Republicans and independents who lean towards the GOP say they will definitely support the candidate they are currently backing, with two thirds saying they may change their minds.
"With only 33% of all Republicans saying that their minds are made up, it's far too early to say the race is over, or even that is has boiled down to a mano-a-mano fight between Romney and Cain," says Holland.
The survey indicates that most Republicans say they are satisfied with the field of GOP candidates still in the race, although only one in five describe themselves as very satisfied. Republicans who back the tea party are more satisfied with the field of candidates than Republicans who are neutral toward the tea party.

Here's your own words from a variety of threads. You're a piece of work and a underhanded bully.
MNJohnnie says:
Go home Rick, you are NOT ready for prime time.
Quit blaming everyone else for Perry's incompetence as a campaigner. Wake up and face the facts
Perry is Romney Lite. He merely reflects a different facet of the same corrupt GOP Establishment
I think there is a real emotional attachment for Gov Perry
Rather then continue to cling feverishly to your emotions about Perry, time to face reality. Perry is done
What does anyone really know about Perry other then the nice words and platitudes he puts in his speeches? Looks like Perry is just Bush 3.0 another tough talking social conservative who will go to DC and be yet another good little GOP crony capitalist water boy
Then why don't you stop spamming every thread with the same fraudulent attack post and address the points made TO you for a change then?
What do think continually lying about 9-9-9 does to your credibility as a Freeper?
Thank you for proving my point. Like the Romneybots, the Perry camp cannot make a case FOR their candidate, they can only trash talk all the other candidates. No wonder your guy is dying in the polls.
How about this. Quit making up your own headlines in a vain attempt to smear Cain? How about you stop desperately trying to smear the other candidates and make a case FOR your candidate for a change?
So which campaign are you Perrybots actually working for? Its playing better then calling 3/4rs of your voter base heartless.
Yeah there the ticket scream bile laced emotional tirades at everyone then ask them to vote for your candidate Perry.
How about you Romney supporter try one time making a case FOR Romney instead of just posting bile laced tirades at Cain?
Cain only has about 5% core support. The rest who push him are RomneyBots or democrats trying to split the Conservative vote.
Once Romney is sure that he has split the Conservative vote up enough to win the nomination, then he will have withdraw Cain drop out and endorse him. Expect Cain’s withdrawal in February or March of 2012.
You bring up a good point and it leads me to think - some of Cain supporters could be for Romney as those two candidates have a connection. Cain certainly came into the race w/a heart for Romney alone.
What exactly did he say to Romney today that he couldn’t have said during the debate - when he could have put him on the cross with mittcare but didn’t? But that goes for MB and Newt, also, but we know why. Any link or thread on it?
Get lost, troll.
I got that one from MTP on Sunday. Hey we have a debate tomorrow so I expect fiery Cain to light Romney up, unfortunately, I seriously doubt it's gonna happen.
I posted the link to the polls. Cain is ahead this week. No one should be counting their chickens at this point.
Actually, I was considering voting for Cain until he played the race card.
I suspect that many of the most obnoxious Cain trolls are Romneybots or democrats who only want to split up the Conservative vote.
The democrats don’t care whether Romney or Cain wins because they know neither of them will win the Presidency.
I suspect the RomneyBots pretending to support Cain are being obnoxious to intentionally drive down Cain’s support a bit so he merely splits the Conservative vote but poses no threat to Romney winning the nomination.
And you are probably right. I just read Cain supported Mitt for president in 2008.
That's why Cain now exceeds Romney and Perry combined.
One of these days the Perry supporters will wake up and realize two things:
1) Perry's drop in the polls is largely his own doing, and
2) Cain is in it to win it.
Blaming Cain as a stalking horse keeps you from dealing with Perry's problems.
And Perry supported Guliani. Your point is? The candidates in 2007-08 sucked.
And you are probably right. I just read Cain supported Mitt for president in 2008.
hmm what were his other options at that point in time, Ron Paul, Juan McAmnesty or Obama?

Nothing changes, if nothing changes. And the race has not really even been established yet, but listening to them, it's already “President Cain”, Perry has dropped out and Romney is history.
They so love to think they own the entire political World. And nobody would dare argue with them or have an opinion different that theirs.
Really?
What ever you say.......
All those Perry haters will probably be blessed with 4 more years of Obama if Cain or Romney are selected. I work with well over a hundred oilfield employees here in Texas, and with one exception, all are Perry supporters. And most will stay home if it comes down to Cain and Obama. I realize this is a small sampling of people, and in Texas, but I think if Cain is the nominee, Texas will go to Obama by default. And Cain or Romney could lose other Southern states as well.
That’s my worry also.
Cain is the hot ticket right now, but I don’t believe these polls that put him ahead in the general election.
People say things on polls very different from how they actually vote.
