David Castagnetti, Alex Vogel, Mitch Feuer, Robert Griner, Mike Fulton, Sam Geduldig, Clark Lytle etc... Basically all the K street pimps who keep their elected “whores” in line.
Please expound as to who these people are and who they support. I am a political junkie and I have never heard of ANY of these people. I really want to be educated.
I’d certainly put that on the list. “Reach across the aisle” is another one.
The way I see it, our political world is divided up into two parties: Republican and Democrat.
In reality though, there are three schools of thought:
1) Liberal Democrat
2) Liberal Republican
3) Conservative Republican
There are some other fringes out there - full out communists, libertarians and others but for the most part, it’s those three schools of thought.
The conservatives want (among other things) federal government to shrink - to get back to doing what the Constitution says is the proper role for government and leave the rest to the States or localities. In general, to follow the motto of local governments tend to govern best as they are closest to the people.
The liberal republicans are happy with big government as long as they are in power. Very often they act like liberals while cloaking themselves in the language of conservatism. They are the “compassionate conservatives” or “establishment republicans”. They are the ones who “reach across the aisle to their good friend... a liberal democrat”. They are the deal makers. The gang of 14 types. They are happy to keep the government growing along because their gravy train is setup properly.
Every single democrat - all of them - are liberals. They want government to provide for them, determine what’s best for them, and prevent them from any harm (i.e. ramifications of bad decisions, physical harm from products etc...)
Who is the establishment? All liberal republicans and all democrats. They are easy to spot. They look and talk like smarmy politicians.
In almost all debates and arguments, the liberals on both sides gang up on and outnumber the conservatives. This is when government grows. If the liberal democrats win the argument, the government grows a lot. If liberal conservatives win the argument, the government grows a little.
Conservatives, like Ronald Reagan and the TEA Party, are the only two things in the last 30 years which have been even mildly effective at stemming the growth of government.

I’m sure there are more - thousands more - but look at that list. They are Liberals. They are plenty happy with big government as long as they are in power. They could turn Democrat at any moment and it wouldn’t change a thing.

Sounds like MVC has defined the RINO for us. I particularly love the phrases “our kind”, “served on both sides” and “reach deep”. My prize bull serves on both sides of the pasture.
