“You seem to want to gloss over the fact that he was talking about how bad it would be to add retail (sales), and wholesale (VAT) tax on top of everything we already pay, whereas his proposal removes large portions of what we already pay (35% corporate tax vs. his proposed 9% tax) in order to add a retail sales tax, not a wholesale VAT tax.”
Nice try. Lots of people are on to this plan now. It will never be enacted. Period.
Thanks BenKenobi. He’s our only hope. ;’)
This is a joke..right?
Where did that price per gallon of gas come from?
I cannot believe everyone is falling for his schtick, the man has no organization and isn’t even trying, he is selling his books and hoping Romney chooses him for Veep...... you do remember he supported Romney in 2008 and said he could support him again in 2012...... if we want the Fair Tax then go to the Fair Tax, not this crazy 999.
Absolutely.
Cain supporters are much the same impressionable, and naive, folks who laid roses before Palin everywhere she walked. If he is so damn good then how could he have lost a race in conservative Georgia?
Cain is the Right's equivalent of Jesse Jackson...sans the incessant rhyming. He speaks in soundbites more apt for TV ads than one vying for the presidency.
While I was born at night, I wasn’t born last last night. This will not pan out as you have stated.
So Texas being a lower tax rate state is not the reason businesses relocate there?
The federal income tax started out at 1%. enough said.
You don’t think maybe all the illegal aliens might have something to do with it too?
I don’t have a sales tax in my state. Not every state does. So maybe you’ll need to have your legislators do something to lessen your tax burden. Or move to a state that doesn’t have sales tax. The feds are responsible for their tax collection methods/policies and the states are responsible for theirs. This would actually benefit me because there wouldn’t be all those hidden fees added on to the price of my goods.

Perry's campaign has taken a page from Wimp Lo in "Kung Pow":
"I'm Bleeding... making me the VICTOR!"
Look, even if you're paid campaign staff, there's a point of no return, and Perry has passed it. His warranty has expired. There's no coming back, there's no recovering credibility over his "heartless" comment. He can't sell conservatism because it's not in his heart and he doesn't believe in it, and WE KNOW IT. It's OVER...and all this is getting to be pathetic.
Please stop the endless Perry posts and join us in RAISING CAIN...
