Governor Rick Perrys plan is based on a simple premise: Make what Americans buy. Buy what Americans make. And sell it to the world.

I’m just going to wait, and lurk, and see.
I’m a lurker now.
I’m dropping out of all these discussions.
I’ll be back. But I’m bowing out for now.
I know exactly what an executive order is, and they are generally an end run around congress. Why does it take an executive order to undo an executive order, I profess that most are unconstitutional and illegal.
If that is how Perry and/or his operatives work he's not Presidential material.
Heads will explode all over FR.
Heads will explode all over FR.
LOL She has said that she will only endorse the nominee so I’m not holding my breath for an endorsement before then.
It is a great guote, I love it. Perry is the best. Go Perry Go!!!
What about the thousands of illegal alien college students in Texas, receiving in-state tuition, that will need a job after graduating?

Perry is paving the way for the legalization of illegals through the Texas school system. Every illegal will go to college and become a citizens and make more little legal citizens.
This job plan should really work for those illegals coming out of school. They will then be able to send money back to Mexico and bring more illegals into Texas and other border states!
Interesting that the recent Iranian Assassination Plot was cooked up in Texas.....
That’s probably a pretty wise move.
Debates are not the sole determining factor in a campaign. You guys are flipping nuts if you think it is. Skilled debating isn’t the best determinant in governing either.
This election is all about the economy and jobs.
In my view, here’s the problem with Perry: he cannot think on his feet. Obama will eat his lunch. If he can’t stand up to the other GOP candidates, how can he with “The One”? We have already had a president (Bush) who was continually tongue-tied in speaking. Remember the debate where he kept saying, “It’s hard, it’s hard”? If Perry is the candidate, which I doubt, I’ll certainly vote for him. But almost any of the other candidates can articulate better than him, and in this day and age, that is extremely important. Impressions are reality, unfortunately.
Could’ve should’ve would’ve — that’s not the point.
The point is he came up with a workable plan that would create jobs and jumpstart the economy almost immediately.
And this is what we need, not hundreds of pages of Romney plan, not “9-9-9” slogan unimplementable tax plan, but a simple, but immediate solution to create jobs and get the economy going and that’s what’s Perry plan provides.
Don’t worry. Sarah will be avoiding endorsing during the infighting. Of course, personally she probably does like Perry and does not hold him responsible for his supporters, having seen how her own behaved. Come on. This is a rowdy game and rowdy people are in it. How else did 2010 happen?
Cain has not yet hit the wall that crushes, like Palin and Perry, but he will, just as soon as the media figures out just how to get that job done. Nevermind the self inflicted wounds. As Trump said, anyone who has done well and produced success and jobs is going to have plenty of critics to use against them, as opposed to Obama having produced nothing, certainly not jobs ever, and had no background that would garner critics, but closed one deal in his entire life. He bought a house. Adding, that even the house deal needed to be looked at. LOL.
Perry is working against a late entry in a compressed cycle and can not turn a debate. It is best that he get out of the south, in my opinion, and introduce himself to the broader electorate as the anti-Obama/Romney candidate, knowing that the cross-over voters are going to matter in this Republican primary.
Cain may not keep his loft after the media romps him, and Romney will be forced by the polls to eventually come at him. Someone is going to be left standing as the anti-Romney. Will it be Cain, Perry, or Newt who is on the rise? And then there is the blasted clock. Time is going to matter.
I thought so too.
I agree, just about everybody has had their 15 minutes of spotlight in the polls icluding those who didn’t run (Christie, Palin, Trump), it’ll start getting even more interesting here shortly.
Perry’s actions as Governor and statements as a presidential candidate are completely inconsistent without Shamnesty.
Its not as catchy as "999" but it is more substantive and speaks to the real expectations of mainstream conservatives and more importantly, it can pass through the Congress. Now the only question is, can Perry explain it and sell it in the next 7-8 weeks in order to have a serious impact on primary voters and regain his lost support. Perry will have 4 debates this year to make his case. I hope he finds that fire in the belly soon. Good luck Governor.
Energy has always been Perry’s forte, because there is a lot of different types in TX. Simply removing regulations is not a plan, which that is what the other candidates said. Give Perry some credit for a change.
