Republican presidential hopeful Herman Cains 9-9-9 plan will add $2 trillion to U.S. GDP, as well as create 6 million jobs, his economic advisor Rich Lowrie told Larry Kudlow Thursday.
Lowrie also said under the plan, business investments will increase by one-third and wages will go up by 10 percent.
And if you fold all that growth together, he said, federal revenues go up by 15 percent.
Cains 9-9-9 plan would scrap the current tax code and replace it with a 9 percent tax on personal income and corporations, as well as a new 9 percent sales tax.

Probably just covering the bases.
The point, which you evidently missed is that Herman has no entitlement reform included in his 999, Brazilian, Chilean or otherwise.
There is no SS Trust Fund and worthless IOU’S does not one make.
And furthermore only folks who have never run a business are gullible enough to believe that sales tax auditors are less onerous than income tax auditors.
In fact a national sales tax enables the federal government to reach down into intrastate commerce and put you daughter in jail if she doesn’t collect and remit sales tax proceeds for her baby sitting duties.
Comprende genius?
Nervous Tick = Liberal Whiner
Just believe the Pizza guy.
McCain is more conservative than Romney but both are disliked here equally.
>> Havent we all been guilty of voting for the lesser of two evils?
Many of us have — but read the article *for meaning*. Cain didn’t describe Romney as the lesser of the two evils, at all. Cain wrote eloquently about Romney’s supposed leadership qualities.
Make no mistake — Cain Hearts Romney. To this day.
Cain will *gladly* give the nomination over to Romney, for the VP slot — or even a cabinet role.
Paul Ryan, Laffer, Rich Lowrey and Jim DeMint all like it? Looks to me like all the critics can go pound sand.
When Cain wins, the GOP needs to make Ryan the Speaker of the House and DeMint the Senate Majority Leader.
o2bfree=leftist crapstain
LOL... you made me smile.
Subtract Ryan. His spokesman said something along the lines of Ryan hasn’t seen the 999 plan, but likes the fact that tax reform is being discussed.
You could just smell the fear coming off of these dweebs. I would love to see Cain win the nomination and election and see Rove and his ilk become completely irrelevant.
Good grief. I’ve co-owned my own 35 man business now for 10 years. I don’t need lectures from anyone on taxation, sales or otherwise. Our company has been audited ZERO times since 1979. Our books are perfect.
If you don’t realize that the feds taxation already does “reach down into intra-state commerce”, then I can’t help you.
Nonsense my old conservative arse. A national sales tax invites the federal government into all manner of intrastate commerce. You have authorized them to knock on your door and audit your books if you sell your neighbor some cordwood or if your child opens up a lemonade stand. How exactly does a national sales tax limit government?
The 9-9-9 is a transitional plan, Cain wants to use it to build support for Fair Tax.
I'm guessing it's the amount of businesses that refuse to hire now because they don't know what the tax burden will be; but how he arrived at that number, I have no idea. Good to see another Virginian.
Sales taxes are levied on sales of goods not services. Comprende?
Uh, really?
Yes, as a matter of fact I have been through both audits, and yes, they were both damned onerous.
But the IRS was much worse.
So, lets see, you don't want ONE potential audit...you want TWO?
Yeah, Doc, I know only one leg is infected, but take 'em both off so I won't have a lurch in my getalong.
Right, there are some that need medicaid while there are others who abuse it to the nth degree. My mother worked and paid into her retirement all her life and had insurance ..in the end she went to a nursing home full of people on medicaid and bet many never paid much into it...yet they do get the same care...hence “entitlement”...level the playing field
