Great commentary and couldn’t agree more.
I say CUT SPENDING. Do that before anything else. CUT CUT CUT. THAT should be the bold plan. Not radical tax reform that will still need to come up with a certain amount of money. CUT THE SPENDING NOW. Who’s saying that? Anyone?
I bet if Perry was still up in the polls you’d feel differently about the polls.
Hermain Cain has spoke many times about cutting spending on his radio show and in appearances. Spending is #2 on his list. The biggest criticism of his 999 plan is that it would require spending cuts.

Businessweek says 999 impossible because of spending cuts required to balance the budget.

Here’s Cain speaking for himself about the need to cut spending:

Some others are also for cutting spending:
Ron Paul is:

Gary Johnson is:

I mean sometime you guys are pathetic. Can’t spend a minute with a google search to see that what you are saying is just not true. I mean is that what conservatives have become not those waiting to exhale but waiting to be spoon fed?
What exactly is your aversion to tax reform. The vast majority of Americans support both Tax reform and cutting spending as do nearly all of the current GOP candidates. If you want to support the #1 top spending cutter then you should join Ron Paul’s campaign because no one tops him on that.
Wrong priorities.
It'd be nice if it were that simple.
Gingrich/Cain 2012 ???? I don't think so......
I'd love to give a comprehensive list of things he supports that show why he's not a Conservative; however, for me the list begins and ends at CAP & TRADE. I've since forgotten or ignored the rest.
Should Gingrich win the nomination, this country is in just as deep crap as it would be if Romney wins, ... maybe more.
I honestly can't see how anyone could have supported Perry while knowing his view on illegal immigration. I'm supporting Herman Cain considering he's Conservative and leading everyone except the liberal Romney who's not any worse than the liberal Perry.
I can understand people supporting the lower polling Conservatives, but I can't see how people would still support Perry or Romney while considering themselves Conservatives. They will never get my vote even if they win the nomination. There are still some people I would vote for other than Cain who aren't doing too good right now, but I am supporting Herman Cain unless something changes.
I bet you are supporting the liberal pro-ILLEGAL immigration career politician candidate Perry. Those people are what’s sad when they consider themselves Conservative and support the status quo pro-illegal candidate because they themselves couldn’t care less about something that’s killing the nation, and is just as dangerous for our nation as every other issue. There is no, inside or outside, threat that’s anymore dangerous than illegal immigration and I don’t understand why so many can just ignore it as an issue.
I'm sorry. It's not the old liberal cliche that GOPers are stupid. I've read Reagan's writings and heard his speeches. He was BRILLIANT compared to today's crop. He was edgy and sharp and supremly talented. But Perry is truly duuuuumb. Or at least that's the impression he makes. So no. At this point, unless he somehow transforms into something totally different, I am not a Perry supporter.
I'm undecided. I don't want TV. I mostly get my news here. I'm totally unaffected by the MSM, the GOP establishment. I pay no attention to them. They don't even exist in my lifestyle. They are nullities.
That said, on my own judgement, Perry is inept, to put it kindly. He's embarrassingly bad. The only other thing I can say is "save a pretzel for the gas jets."
I'm undecided. I imagine I'll get to know them all as well as I can ( I know them pretty well already) and when the primaries hit NJ, I'll make what I think is the best choice based on the situation, with my paramount objectives being a) Defeat Obama and b) promote LIBERTY.
I'm a pragmatist about it. I have no choice but to be. Cheers.
Whoever your candidate is, (if its not Romney or Huntsman) I will support enthusiastically against Zero. I decline to participate in the circular firing squad.
I am wondering if Perry will be somewhere in Cain’s administration if he wins.
Anyway, this is very surprising (and good news!)
It wasnt just the “you have no heart” quip that did him in. He is a very poor debater in general. Romney beats him by a mile, but Romney is, well...Romney. Who I won’t support. Its Cain for me. I would really hate having to hold my nose and vote for Romney just to get the Won out of the WH.
Now there's some principles and some logic right there.
Sorry, but the "firing squad" (to use your term) is a regular, straight "firing squad"; and if those with the cigarettes and blindfolds are to be phony/false conservatives, then I say Newt should be alongside Romney and Huntsman.
But if, instead of investigating those things that Gingrich has proposed or endorsed since he was in Congress, you'd rather just say that I'm an idiot trying to sabotage conservatives, the Republican nomination, and the nation by rejecting all but my own choice (which I didn't do, and can't do, since I haven't settled on one) and participating in a "circular firing squad" or "circle jerk" or whatever, ... go ahead.
I'll vote for one of the conservatives running, and you can vote for, ...well, whomever.
I repeat to those who call the tax a VAT.
Stop posting this!!!
Before you post take you little fingers and type these three letter into Google
Then come back and apologize.
The sign of insanity is repeating the same thing over and over expecting a different result.
It is NOT A VAT
I emailed oreilly.
I keep repeating to him “you just don’t get it do you”
9-9-9 is a sales tax, a business income tax, an individual income tax, and a VAT tax. He's not kidding when he says he wants to broaden the tax base.
Tax reform should take a back seat to spending cuts and regulatory reform, imo. 9-9-9 will be a big hassle sooner or later.
